As she isn't coming back that will be double the number trying to book the cruise.:scared1:

I'm hoping lots will be interested in the new ships...

So let's see if this works.

This is the video from the Grizzly River Rapids ride in DCA that we took with Gaylean, Brooke and Ethan. This was the first time Kaleigh had ever ridden this one.

You may have to click the pic (the black box below) to get to the video. Not sure how long it may take to load.

Ken... not wet... = MICKEY SLICKER!!!!

Ahh there are those who will want to save up for the maiden voyages of the new ships. So we can reduce that by a few, perhaps.

Besides, we are Thieves, we get first crack. And if we don't then we shall just steal our chance!! By hook or by crook! ;)

pirate:pirate:

Oh yes, we are THE THIEVES!!!:dance3:

pirate:pirate:pirate:

(we need a cheering section... :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:)

Back from the doctor and guess what.....I had a MARTINI at lunch! I never drink during the day except on vacation. Reminded me of the olden days in advertising when we very often had the 'two martini lunch'. Although mine was a margarita, or going WAY back in time, a vodka gimlet. Now...I just might need a nap. :lmao:

Speaking of drinking your lunch....I just recalled my first exposure to cocktails with lunch. I was young (ermmm...possibly even underage) and my boss took me out for turtle soup. It became one of our favorite lunches, a vodka gimlet for me, perfect Manhattan for him, a basket of rolls and turtle soup with sherry sprinkled in. I think he had discovered that my typing IMPROVED after a cocktail. :thumbsup2 The Epicurean restaurant in downtown Chicago...wonder if it's still there?

.

tell me it isn't true

ummmmm....it was 40 years ago and farm raised turtles.....:rolleyes1

ummmmmm....it was MOCK-turtle soup....:rolleyes1

:flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3:

I've never done it since then.............

.

ok, I'm not telling Wilson and let's hope Deb is speed reading and doesn't see it

Hi

that where Keith is at Kingswood now...

http://www.kingswood.co.uk/school-trips/activity-centres/index.html

Okay I got free voucher for sandwiches and coffee, have to used it by 31 March so I think I go for my lunch before I start work... it is at my work's cafe shop...

Another staff got sack again last weeknd... oh blimey that is two staff gone..

Scottishwee35
Deborah, what a great opportunity for Keith! Will Olivia go too when she's his age?

Sorry to hear about yet another staff member gone. Very sad.....scary too!

OK, you all might think I'm crazy, but I've had a change of heart about Tyler going to camp. I've been thinking about it a lot and I had a long talk with Tyler about it over dinner. I just started by asking him if he's sure he wants to try camp, we talked about his first attempt at an overnight (on the PC cruise) when he got kicked out around 1am, talked about his reaction to unfamiliar situations and chaos and stress, etc., talked about how he usually reacts when in those situations, and also the possibility of him being asked to leave if he gets out of control and too aggressive. I reminded him how sad he was when he was kicked out of the overnight on the cruise. He assures me he wouldn't let him bother him too much because he would know he can just try again next year. He seems pretty confident he can make it, and is fully aware of his issues and behaviors.

But here's the important part.....a part I somehow had forgotten about before, or maybe was too focused on not wanting him to go, I don't know, but Tyler asked me if he could try the THREE DAY camp the first time. I'd totally forgotten about that option! So I agreed and told him I'd tell his dad tomorrow. It's 6/25-7/1.

Am I crazy for letting him do this? No matter what happens, its only 3 days, so if things go badly, he doesn't have to go again. And if he loves it and does well, I'll let him go for 1 week next year and 2 the following IF he wants to.

I hate that his dad will feel a sense of victory. ;) But Tyler's ecstatic, so that's all that matters.

Ok another video from the trip. I think I'm getting the hang of this...

This one is just the drive down. Apparently I didn't video as much of us in the car as I had thought (thankfully) but what you can see is the differences in temps and climates just within my Beautiful province.

Again, as before, just click on the black box below and give it some time to load.

I'm off to Prince George this morning and then down to Vancouver for Wednesday and Thursday coming back to Prince George on Thursday evening. This means I won't get home until Friday so no more vids until then.

Oh and BTW - it is snowing again this morning here... Please no more turning off the lights for Earth Hour, I think we have this Global Warming stuff beat up here....
I love it Ken! I see we listen to the same music...the country songs, not the stuff the girls were singing at the end.

Photo of the Day

Of all people Richard Simmons was in the train station under our office building this morning. It was a promotion for a new Oceanspray juice drink.

And so ... here I am with a co-worker and Richard Simmons.

(Oh, Richard Simmons is the one in the middle.)

Oh wow, how cool! Was he jumping around, all excited like he usually is? ;)

Richard Simmons was quite something. Very bubbly but there was, in my opinion, something a bit creepy about him.

I described him to someone in the office as a "cadaverous mardi gras"
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Seeing as how the video of the Grizzly River Rapids ride worked, I might as well give this a try too.

Here is the video of us waking the girls on the morning we headed out. Again you will have to click on the pic below and it may take some time to load up.

I've got to admit... I probably would have put a pillow over my head and went back to sleep...

Oh and Ken... NEVER tell the girls you are kidding about going to Disneyland... for someday, they are the ones who will decide which nursing home to put you in... :lmao:

Aaaaw, poor little things. Mean parents!!!:lmao:

Who took them to see Bubba...

If you would have married him you may not have met us ;) Plus half of all marriages end in divorce so it probably wouldn't have been worth it anyway.

I got over it last night... I've got to admit that I've had breakdowns over him many times... but last night I thought to myself "Why am I being so stupid???" I am a good person in my own right and just because he married another lawyer doesn't make me anyless of a good person. :thumbsup2

It's called washboard abs - just for the delicate cycle. At least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!

And as for poolside games - I'm betting you were someone's special star that day...

Just ask Amy, Sophia buried her head in a towel and would not watch. That's as an 8 year old. Just think how proud she will be of her dad when she is a teenager!

Great imagery . . .

I find him a bit creepy too, what is that about???

Count me in on the "Richard Simmons is Creepy" club. There is just something about that man that does not seem "balanced".

OK . . . no one say a word . . .

SPANX!!!

No I was laughing so hard and screaming :lmao: :scared1:

That was YOU???? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

really?

Can't sleep. A bit stressed. Off back to bed now. Goodnight.

Me either...

Wow this time we will know each other for 4 or five years  That's a long time.

Then we're just gonna be crotchety old women sitting around in pink drinking stale champagne... :cutie:

Mr. Clueless strikes again, but this time it's just a minor blip. ;) Tyler's dad was supposed to pick him up at 8 or a few minutes after for their 8:30 dentist appointment, but never showed up, so I ended up taking Tyler to it and was an hour and a half late for work. :headache: He completely forgot about it. There's something else he forgot about last week (I can't remember what it was) and when we were talking during Tyler's karate thing on Saturday he was telling me how he's such a wreck lately and can't remember anything with all the stress of the baby coming. He's falling apart and I kind of feel a bit bad for him. He just told me so much stuff. He hates how he'll be about retired when the new baby graduates from high school and how he never has any energy now, and has no idea how he'll handle the added responsibilities and stress of a new baby.

Sounds like he's just going along with his wife wanting the baby. He doesn't sound too happy about it and that made me sad. :sad2:

Might I suggest a vasectomy?

Now if we could only get her into Harvard... ;)

Yep not one word ... My lips are sealed.

I won't even post a single picture!!

Ummmm John... the girls are showing... ;)

Well Shannon and I are planning on taking the PC repo again in 2011. Marilyn has stated she wants to as well. A few others have already bailed on the idea of a reunion cruise - but heck - their loss ;)

I have to see when the nieces graduate from college... if it's in April, then I'm in.

And trust me . . . I will NEVER, EVER, volunteer again for poolside games.

It would probably be safer to do that when among strangers rather than among friends who have good digital cameras and scrapbooking skills.

If I had 6 pack abs instead of a 24 pack cube I might have felt better about it.

Oh well, you only live once . . .

Not in pictures...

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Never trust a Canadien eh!:lmao: Or a Floridian!

eh?
