Oh I am so very sad....I just cancelled our Disney Princess lunch at the castle that we had booked for May 1st. Since I'm not going to be making that trip anymore, I had to cancel. I'm so sad. They said I can call back on June 21st to book it again for Sept. trip. We're doing five nights at WDW after Tortola cruise. I just hate having to wait so long for my Mickey fix. I'm used to doing WDW twice a year and cruising once a year. This time it's going to be one year since doing World and a year and a half since cruising. That's way too long. I'm so sad.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!
Our Patrick has BIG plans for HIS day! You know he only 'shares' it with everryone else in the world!
We are going to Raglan Road at Downtown Disney this afternoon. Patrick wants to see the dancer and the band and eat there! We have gone there on St. Paddy's beforen, and it's a lot of fun!!!! We missed Guiness night the week before last, so we have to go totdeay!!!!!!![]()
Hi Deb! Wow, I never knew any place had a St. Patrick's Day parade, or really any celebrating other than people going out to drink green beer!Hi Holly and Monica and Connie.....Happy St. Patrick's Day. I'm watching the parade in NYC on TV. I remember the days of going out to lunch when I worked in NYC and the parade was going on. It was so much fun. New York really celebrates St. Patrick's Day.
I can imagine how sad you must be.
But remember, you're still going more than many people do.
I know many people who've never gone to WDW or on a Disney cruise, so it could be worse.
You'll just have to make the trips you ARE doing extra special.

Yesterday Tyler was all excited when I picked him up from school because it was his teacher's birthday (the regular classroom, not the special ed teacher). He only spends an hour and a half maximum in her room each day, but he still asked me if he could get a birthday present for her. I asked him what he thought would be good and he suggested some teaching supplies so it would be something she could use. So I took him to the Teacher's Store and he went nuts trying to pick just a couple things. I had to limit him to 3 things or he would have bought out the store for her! Then at home I found a plain white gift bag and he colored flowers and hearts on one side (with grass and a sun up above) and on the other side he colored him and his teacher holding hands and made it all pink so he could tell her they're in a pink world for her birthday.
He was so happy about his gift and just filled with excitment about giving it to her today. I told him to make sure he tells her it was his idea and that he picked out the items.
I told him he's such a thoughful kid.![]()
Ya know, I had never done anything Mickey until after we moved to PA. I was already in my late 30's the first time me and John went to WDW and I was in my 40's when we did our first cruise. We have a lot of time to make up for.
Me and John both grew up watching Walt every Sunday night on TV in black and white. We watched the Mickey Mouse Club too. Annette was my favorite. But we never went to WDW until we were married and living in PA. I think that's why we love the Mouse so much.![]()
I think most kids are like that though, aren't they? It just makes me smile every time he does something like that. He had a non-stop smile on his face the whole way to school. What a sweetie.....he put his whole heart into it!!! He's so special for being that way. YEAH Tyler!

Hi Deb! Wow, I never knew any place had a St. Patrick's Day parade, or really any celebrating other than people going out to drink green beer!Cool!
Sounds fun!Yea, I'm watching it live. It started at 11:00am and goes until 3:00pm. They just had a huge group of people marching and playing bagpipes. It sounds so nice. They have fire departments and police departments all marching. They have marchers doing dances....little kids all dressed in costumes. There's a huge Irish community in NYC. After the parade everybody goes out for food and drink.....corned beef and cabbage and potatoes and beer. Everybody wears green and dyes their hair green and paints their faces green. I used to do it too. I'm part Irish. But they always say, EVERYBODY is Irish on St. Patrick's day. It's a huge fun party with the whole city.
I'm listening to the narrator and he's got such a great accent. I love listening to it.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.
I think it's helpful that he's like that, to sort of balance out his rough days.He is really such a thoughtful child Holly. I bet you can't wait to hear how it went.
