I went back to work part-time when he was 2 1/2 and he went to a day care center until he was 3 and then pre-school all day. By babysitter I meant somebody coming into my home or me dropping him off at somebody's house.Who watched Tyler while you were working? We've never used a paid babysitter but I think I need to find me a teenager.
My biological calendar is Farmisht (that's Yiddish for confused, befuddled
I thought that this coming weekend was our last weekend at home before we leave for WDW.
I thought that Cheri was arriving a week from tomorrow!
I just realized today, that she arrives two weeks from tomorrow!
So, all the rushing around this past weekend, trying to get stuff done before Cheri arrived was all in vain. I have an entire additional week.
Partly I'm relieved, and partly po'd because I thought I was going on vacation next week.
Good thing I did start cleaning. Talk about premature.
I just feel like they did something right with Jon so it can't be that bad, right? He does have some pretty horrible memories of his childhood. This is actually really funny but relevant. She told me on grandparent's day that Brooke was playing with a black boy and then she said "She likes them dark, like you do". Is she talking about HER son being dark because she has never seen any of my old boyfriendsJon's adopted for all of you that don't know it. I wonder how she feels about Brooke since she is darker than Jon.
Aw, how sweet (Patrick and the flowers)! I'm sure Mike was happy to see you all!Well,Holly, it's hard to tell, since he isn't the outgoing type, even with us. But he was happy to see us, I think he misses us. And Patrick bought him flowers....Patrick loves to give (and get) flowers!
That sounds like a fun idea!Evening all,
Looks like a reunion is in the works....we definitely broke our 371 day record for starting to chat about the cruise..
How about something really wacky......a Crossing the Line Ceremony....(for crossing the Equator????
I had so much fun at karate class tonight! In just 4 classes, I've learned all the moves I need to memorize for graduation on the 26th, so now all I have to do is keep practicing and making the moves stronger and more precise. YAY!!!! Tyler was funny because he was so grossed out at how sweaty I was. He just can't get over how much I sweat.OH!!! I also got to do running front jump kicks and running jump side kicks! I loved it!
grosses me out too
don't feel bad Willie is a sweaty kid too, and I think he is gross also
but the exercise is good for you![]()
Just 2 weeks today and we will be off to the airport hotel ready for our flight 2 weeks tomorrow. 2 weeks on Sunday, we will be having breakfast with Ian and Sukie, V, John, Samantha and Haley, and their friend, and possibly Michelle. I haven't heard about Barb.

You must be very excited about seeing us. I can understand being whipped up over it. It must be a highlight of your holiday.
SORRY, THIS IS LONG!!!! Guys, please feel free to skip.
Oh, one more thing before I go. I used to date a guy named Carlos that I met after my last date with Tyler's dad and before I knew I was pregnant.
We worked together at UPS. He was very shy and it took him a long time to ask me out. I was about 4 months pregnant by the time he finally asked me! He's one of those guys who makes me melt when he smiles at me and can always make me laugh. He's a great dad (his daughter is 10 or 11 I think) and he has a good relationship with her mom and the guy she married. He's very involved with his church, and used to be a youth group leader for teens.
The problem was that he'd back off when we'd get too close because I guess his daughter's mom really burned him and he didn't want to get serious with anybody. So we had sort of an on and off relationship. Not serious though.....we never even kissed....it took him a long time to get brave enough to even hug!One time, after we hadn't seen each other in months and we ran into each other, we made plans for him to come over to my place and order a pizza and watch a movie. He LEFT after about 20 minutes because he started sweating and turning pale! He tried telling me he found out later it was the flu, but it was obvious he was just super nervous (first time alone with me at my house)!
We continued to run into each other every few months, but this time it's been 2 years. Last time I saw him was at some function I took Tyler to when he was 4. Carlos was there with his daughter. That time I didn't bother trying to exchange phone numbers because I didn't want the hassle of trying to connect with him and having him run away again. THIS time though, I ran into him at the grocery store with his brothers. He had a good conversation with Tyler first, then we chatted quite a while. After establishing that neither of us is involved with anybody, we agreed to exchange numbers, but I think we were both too nervous to actually remember to give phone numbers!2 days later, a mutual friend from UPS e-mailed me telling me Carlos asked him to get my phone number, so I gave it and Carlos called me the next day. We've chatted a few times, exchanged quite a few text messages while he was in Texas with his daughter and a bunch of other family over spring break, and he called me tonight to tell me they're back in town and asked me to meet him for coffee tomorrow.
Since this time was the longest we stayed out of touch, I'm hoping he's had some dating practice, or even a short relationship or two, and might be more brave now!
We're still in post op waiting period... it went well today, but it is much bigger than we had thought of and we have to see what's what... Since it's up by her eye, they don't know about her flying yet...
OH, Deborah, I'm so glad to hear that Alison isn't the only one out there! The good/bad news is that Alison is 14 (15 in June) and just now starting to be more willing to wear a dress. But unfortunately she's moved on to more "grown up" styles and I'm afraid I'll never see her in a pretty, girly, frilly one, ever!
You know, I really don't get it when people start telling others what they "should" or "must" do for their own wedding! If Val wants Olivia as a bridesmaid, it's because she has a special relationship of some kind with her and it's none of anyone else's business!
I have heard, though, of younger girls being "Junior" bridesmaids, if that makes anyone happier. Frankly I don't know what the difference is, and I think it's silly to have rules about who you can and can't have as part of your wedding party!
Okay, I'll climb off my soap box! How fun to go wedding dress shopping!Hope you have lots of fun!

I can't see any problem if Val is happy with it. Olivia will make a beautiful bridesmaid, and will be a whole year older too by then!!!
I think its so funny how there are so many "rules" for wedding parties. I think it will be so exciting for Olivia to be a part of it. When Ken and I got married, his youngest sister was our flowergirl. She was 9 and tall for her age, so not the usual 2-5yr old flower girl, but she was so excited to be a part of it, that it was perfect.
I was a bridesmaid for my sister's wedding when I was 11. I can't remember how old olivia is but I think that is pretty close, right?
Here's the few Easter pics I have.
