:cool1: only 45minutes and its the weekend.
The last weekend before we drive to DL:scared1: and the last weekend to study for my current course :scared1: What an awful time for an exam - 7pm on Fri, March 13th.

Oh, well, this weekend will be packing. The kids aren't supposed to know, but I'm suspicious that Shaelyn knows something is up.

Now I'll get back to work and finish up my day.
:flower3:

The commute home today was fantastic. It is in the upper 50'sF.

Have I every told you that Chicago is a spectacular city when the weather is nice?

Well today didn't go exactly as planned. This morning the girls were busy making paper lanterns from a craft page in Shaelyn's Chickadee magazine. Not quite finished but they are close.

Then we went for lunch with Shannon out to A&W. It was a nice sunny day with a bit of a nip in the air, but it was nice to see the sun.

The girls and I then went to my political meeting this afternoon. The girls were pretty good considering it was completely and utterly boring for them. Afterwards I took them to the toy/game store but there was nothing really of interest there. So then we went to the bank (to put money in!!! ) and then we went to Safeway to get supper. The girls picked the difficult meal of hotdogs, so hotdogs it is! While in the store the girls were given some Care Bear stickers and then on the way out they were given some magazine with the Jonas Brothers on the front, so they were excited about that.

We then walked over to the Bakery and the girls each got a special Bakery cookie - Kaleigh picked a chocolate moose shaped cookie (with chocolate eyes) and Shaelyn picked an easter egg shaped cookie. I bought Shannon some rum truffles as a surprise.

From there we walked over to flower store and I picked up a nice spring bouquet to surprise Shannon with at home. It was sunny out and I felt our dining room needed some colours to reflect the weather. While we were waiting for the flowers, the owner of the store gave the girls each a peanut butter chocolate and a piece of salt-water taffy to give to mom.

After the floral shop we hit Booster Juice for a drink and the girls each got a "funky monkey" drink.

Then we came home and cleaned up the kitchen a little bit. The girls ate their cookies and drank their drink and are now finishing up their paper lanterns.

So no board game and no Wii Star Wars but a pretty good day anyhow.

And now I just found out my mother-in-law is coming over for the night. :darth:

I was merely responding to Michelle's post (which I didn't quote by accident) when she asked who won the boardgame and how the Star Wars went today.

And it is long winded because, well, I was a political meeting today so I guess talking for the sake of talking rubbed off. Besides, it is known that no one likes to hear Ken talk as much as Ken. ;)

Deb,

It can be confusing for people not from the US. In most ways we are not one country but 50 separate ones with laws that differ from state to state. The only time a law applies to everyone is typically for an activity that crosses state borders.

There is no same sex marriage in the UK. Instead they implemented civil union, which legally grants the same rights and contractual obligations.

Great explanation Ian. :thumbsup2 But it has me wondering.....Is the U.S. the only country that has different laws in every state (or whatever the smaller sections of other countries are called). :confused3

Hi All.....been at the doctors. Yesterday was with Ray to his doctor and today was my wound care doctor. I've had enough of doctors for a while.

Naturally, they hurt my legs again and yes I have taken a half of a vicodin today. Hopefully I won't have to take any more.

 Sorry Deb....but glad to see you posting. I was wondering where you were. Was the wound doctor happy to see how your legs have improved from all the laying down?

At least you're not as long-winded as me on my days at work when I have no work! ;)

Sorry Ian, we can't all be tech worshippers like you and Ken ;)

No... Shannon and I still believe in the tin cans and a string technology...

That's because Ken and I are superior males.

Ken.. you just made me say "Wow..." :upsidedow

Ahemmm ... now who's the one using DIS as their Twitter?

And who's checking up on him???

This needs to be quoted.

And quoted often.

Heck even made bold:

I bet it would look good in multi-colours too:

What???

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

ME TOO! When do they come home? I keep thinking it should be any day now. :sad1:

They should be home around the time it takes for Woody to disappear again...

Or maybe he was too busy on Tweeter or whatever that site is. ;)

Tweeter... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Go ahead Ian.. I bet she doesn't even know what that could be...
