Unfortunately, that will never happen. He thinks Tyler's the same as he was as a kid.

I am so glad you are talking to people about this and not dealing only with Tyler's Dad. This way you are getting a lot of ideas and once you factor in the input from the teachers and aids you can make a proposal to Dad that you are comfortable with and is in Tyler's best interest.

Monica's idea of sending the IEP is great. The camp may disqualify themselves and then you are not the "bad cop." Yah Monica

No, I can't talk many things over with his dad because I'd end up slapping him. But I honestly think the camp wouldn't take Tyler anyway. We'll see.

Oh, and I did email Tyler's teacher to ask for her input, since she deals with him all day.

I just got a call from Tyler's teacher. She called to tell me he had a great day today! Well, one incident where he was defiant about a particular assignment, said, "This is stupid, I don't want to do it, I hate this dumb stuff" but she was able to divert before he escalated and he finished the work he was complaining about and the rest of the day was fine. It's nice that she called me to report good things, the old school never did.

BTW - the dreaded DVD came in last night - not sure if I'll try it tonight (as it's Grey's & Private Practice night) but will definately attempt it this weekend.

I also bid on Zumba DVDs on ebay & won that so am waiting for those to come in.

Cool! Let me know when you might try it and maybe that will motivate me to start back up again. I haven't done it since last Thursday. I took a day off and wasn't able to motivate myself to get back into it again. I also want to get Hip-Hop Abs so I'll have something to alternate with.

OK, maybe I'll try to do the evil DVD before Survivor tonight.

Hi All.....after all the talk about concern for people MIA, I thought I'd better check in.

John was home from work all week and just went back today. He and the kid were moving turtle tanks around on Sunday and John fell over something on the floor. He reinjured his injured knee and couldn't walk for a couple of days. He's wearing a knee brace now and was at the doctor last night. He's still limping, but at least he doesn't need the cruches anymore.

I'm exhausted and feeling a little sick today. I'm not used to taking care of someone else. I can barely take care of me.

I'll be reading and sending hugs to all of you even if I'm not posting much for the next few days.

So...

It snowed tonight...

And I HAD to go out in it...

Drive in it actually...

I went to CVS to pick up a prescription...

So I took Mom's car...

To which she had a (not literal, so don't call 911, please...) heart attack...

When I got back from fighting my way through the tundra...

Mom and I had a very intense & heated argument...

(actually I finally had a melt down...)

Do you know that if you hold your breath too long, you pass out???

I think I've been holding my breath since June...

(so much for Blue being my favorite color... )

I feel better... and a bit tired... so I'm going to go to sleep... or I should say... Bed... I'll let you know if I actually sleep sometime in this decade...(It's almost over isn't it???)
