Someone over on the podcast thread just posted that the D23 magazine is at Barnes and Noble... for get this... $15.95!!!!!!

That sounds in line with $75/yr membership. They had to make it close to the membership price or nobody would order the membership. I wonder how long the club 23 will last.

I'm very, very bummed that I won't get to see you, Ken, Shannon and girls. I'm dying for a trip to DL and it would be so great to see you (and everyone else at the DISmeet).

We'll think of you when Ken's snapping pictures!

WHY IN THE HECK ISN'T LOST ON?!?! I look forward to it all week!

They said at the end of last week's show that it would be back in 2 weeks, so next week will be a new one. (And I'll miss it but I'd rather be in DL and they'll re-air it the following week, so I can see it then )

It's supposed to. You might want to contact Amazon's customer support. It says in the description "Includes a high-capacity Sanyo brand lithium-ion battery." I believe when I read about it in the warehouse listing, it said nothing about it not having all of the parts.

I would really take it up with their customer support.

It's so hard when you hear news like that. The other day, when I got together with my colleagues they told me that someone I worked with (hell shared a desk with) when we worked abroad, died in his sleep. He and I were the same age.

Shaelyn: Mom, are you and Daddy thinking about going to Disneyland?
Me: yup, one day we'll go there again
Shaelyn: But what am I doing next week since I'm not going to daycare?
Me: I can't go to work next so you kids are staying with me.
Shaelyn: awwww then I miss skating and swimming with daycare.
Me: don't worry, we can go swimming
Shaelyn: but what about skating?
Me: we'll see, I don't know exactly what we'll do, maybe we'll go to Prince George.

So, Shaelyn has successfully been diverted, and I didn't actually lie to her

oh, I was up half the night crying, I was talking to one of my high school friends on Facebook - he is the CM - and somehow in the conversation he told me a very good friend from high school had died in a car wreck.
we were so close in high school and ran around together everywhere.

life is really short, I am determined to make the most of it from this point forward.

Again, no time to read, just popping in a post before I forget to mention something cute. I just got an e-mail from Tyler's teacher and have copied it below. Very funny!

YOU ARE THE BEST MOM IN THE WORLD! Tyler was telling me about the dance and I told him he was lucky to have the best mom in the world and he said "I know, she is".

I had a great day, thanks for asking. It was very windy here this morning, but my daughter and I went for an hour walk together and chatted the entire time Samantha called me at noon to say she was not feeling well, but I could still come and get Serenity if I wanted. Of course, I wanted! So I picked her up at 2:00 had her here for about 6 hours. A friend of mine stopped in to meet her and we had a nice visit too. Serenity even shared some big hugs with her too, she's been a little shy with others lately so I was glad she was her usual loving self! My friend has been battling cancer for quite some time now, and Serenity's hugs brought her to tears, in a good way, if that makes sense at all? Once again, I am exhausted, but happy.
