Every time somebody talks about it on here, I want to buy a ticket, but then I never remember to buy one.

I am strong confident but not at work, I am shy or quiet at work I know not like me...

My boss told me big meeting with all staff last mins last night... My workmate also deaf too she is very strong person..

When I attended the big meeting, I asked about substitles show on tv, my boss turned to me and saying to me you dont need it because you are very good lipread...

However, I was lost and the meeting went over my head as i cannot cope with lots of staff at big meeting... I spoted one workmate as she is deaf came along late... well she was asking where is subtitles then boss said NO...

Well she lost her temper and control her bad behaviour and asked me come on we should walk out of this room.. I said oh no I cannot do that as I was sitting for 45 mins with big meeting as there is no interpreter as I have no CLUE what the boss had been talking about...

Boss turned to me asking me the question I just saying well I am sorry that I dont understand at all she shouted at me you are very good with lipread ...

Well my deaf workmate started signer back to her without her voice, well, all staff turned to me asking me a question... what she said??/ I was speechless and said well see how you feeling exactly same with me as I was sitting for 45 mins and have no clue about it...

All staff think well done to deaf workmate but she and the boss had big argument ... I walked away and all staff with me.

I went to work today there are some staff gossip I put my face up and my boss hardly speak to me today....

Deaf workmate pointed out why no interpreter for big meeting which is important.. I think she made the point...

She came around my house after work last night and asked me that I have no confident at work which is true... I see her point.... I send email to RNID this morning... I think my work broke the rules for DDA .....

Tonight at my work is a nigthmare.....

I am upset and angry and frustrated now... with my boss for bad attitude to me tongiht grrrr

ahem..it is FRIDAY now thank god weekend

as i am off to Aberdeen where I belong to for my friend 40th party tomorrow with my husband.....

Deborah, that's terrible! Do you have laws there about disabilities? I think they would definitely be breaking the law by not having subtitles or some other way for you to understand what was going on. Sure, you might be great a lip reading when communicating with one person, but at a big work meeting, lots of people are talking, and talking for a long time. They can't possibly expect you to catch it all. I like what your co-worker did, she's a quick thinker! Do you know what the meeting was about? I wonder if somebody will get the information to you so you can know what was going on.

I'm mad now just thinking about it. YOUR BOSS IS A JERK!

BTW....mom is much more relaxed and satisfied today. Got her couch, chair, TV and mattress set into her new apartment. Everything seems to be on course. smooth as can be. I hope tomorrow is as simple.

Good day my fellow thieves.
Ok Gay I'm checking in with this weeks WI.

Just back from my WW meeting and am proud to say I was only up .2 lbs. that's after a weekend spent partying with the Neville's. And that 2 tenths was so way worth it. I think it was only a small gain, cause I made sure I got my lunch time walk in every day and drank well above the 6 glasses of water a day. I also made sure that I tracked everyday after the weekend. I just love WW.

Ohhhh.... when you get rid of the rest of the bubbly-ness... the .2 will go too...

It's hard when you have a stressful week. I was worried too. I was just unprepared because I had two calls early in the morning to work and I didn't have anything to take for lunch. One day I didn't even have time for breakfast so when I got to lunch I was starving. Plus I was in a strange place so I felt stupid getting up and getting water all the time so I I didn't get all my water in those days. I did lose a pound and I am super happy about that. I know I went over my points 2 days for sure. How did you end up doing? I'm sure it wasn't as bad as you thought.

Well, that's cool! At my job we all get the same 25 cent yearly raise and same $250 Christmas bonus. But I do enjoy my job, so that's worth something I suppose.

I'm SOOOO happy this week is over. We have 5 legal secretaries. I was only at work 2 1/2 days, 1 was out all week with pneumonia, 1 was on vacation, 1 who was there all week is our drunk, the other who was there all week is very new. And we had 2 temps in to try to help out. So it was total chaos.

Now I get to RELAX until Monday morning.

Good for Willie Are you guys having a dinner/party for Boy Scout's 99th year anniversary?

I've been a boy scout flake mom this year. Too many karting conflicts so we missed alot, and I just hate the noise of the pack meetings so I have Paul take Willie. Tomorrow is our Pine Wood Derby and Willie isn't doing it. We have his karting dinner that we have to leave at 3pm for, so I didn't want to be cooped up all day with that noise. Haven't heard anything about 99 years here. Mid Feb is our Blue and Gold dinner, but we opted to have a family combined bday party for the 4 boys (cousins) that are born in Feb. that same night, so we miss that too. Just easier than having a party at my house for Willie, so I'm happy.

Thanks for the kind words, and NO< you won't be gracious to your children when you are old, because you will have FORGOTTEN that you promised to be gracious.....that's the perogative of old age, I think.

Here's a funny story....my girlfriend's mother wants to move from Arizona to the Villages here in Florida. So, she picked out the house. My friend and her brother are handling the purchase, the insurance, the moving people, the mortgage, etc etc etc. My friend calls her mother to get her Social Security number. She calls and calls...both home and cell. FINALLY the mother calls back " Why are calling me? I am on the golfcourse!"

There's a mother for you!!!!

ok, this is going to sound entirely wrong...in these PC days.....Patrick came home today complaining that he can't understand his new supervisor. he says she talks a different language. I said it was probably English with a Spanish accent....he says " I don't like that language". I just have to laugh, because Patrick is hard to understand sometimes and we call it a Patrick accent! When people cannot understand him, he starts to speak very slowwwwwly and very loud! I guess to help us understand his language!

Wow what a day. My mom and I went to the mall today and then went back to her house to scrapbook. SHe was on the phone and I was walking around playing with a toy. We had been home more than 15 minutes and I looked over and yelped as I saw my dog sitting on the couch just staring at us. She wasn' t moving and didn't come greet us. I sat down and petted her and took her back outside. While she was outside I noticed she was very skinny and was not barking at strange things (she always parks) but lucy was. Well tonight she came back in and sat on the same spot on the couch. My sisters friend reached over to pet her and she snapped at her. Well the dog has a vet appointment Monday as I think she is sick (oh and she is constantly shaking). She is only 7 years old and I think she is going nuts. We will see what the vet says. My mom also want to let her stay inside since something is wrong so we need to house train her (we can put her in her cage when company comes). My other dog is completly fine and happy.

Oh and my dad called this morning to say he needed a ride from the ER. Of coarse I went but it was very strange.

you may want to take her in before Mon, does your vet have Saturday appts? Most do.


Ok so, I did good and lost around 3 lbs this week (since I was sick) but I am blowing it off until Monday. I mean Superbowl food people and how can you watch a game without beer or wine?

Filed my taxes and getting some back and our mortgage payment went down about 150 due to escrow overage. Sweet ---- Every bit helps.....we try and pay cash for most everything and don't have that much of a savings built up but plan to work on that this year. 2010 is our 10 year anniversary and I want to do the april repo - no way we can do sept, that is year end for me.
other choices may be hawaii or mexico I guess.....dh has yet to say.....

V- I wish I could go tomorrow but I have to work and I will get in HUGE trouble is I call in. Also my mom doesn't have the budget to take her till Feb. We will keep her comfortable and let her sleep inside in her crate until then.
