Poor Tyler, poor Holly....I hope you get some better meds for Tyler to take today. I hope Tyler feels better too. Hugs to you both. :grouphug:

Thanks Deb. I called his pediatrician's office first thing this morning and left a message about the med. I'm just waiting for a return call.

I slept so soundly last night because I never even moved. I'm a very light sleeper, so every time Tyler rolls over in his bedroom usually wakes me up because he sleeps with a bear that has a rattle inside, so I hear Bo rattling as Tyler rolls over. :rotfl2: But since he didn't move much, there was nothing to wake me up and I slept like a rock. :goodvibes So I think instead of going in to work tonight for a bit, I'm just going to get to bed very early, perhaps as early as 7 or 8pm, and will just work extra long hours tomorrow and Friday if needed.

This may be the first time that we don't do a DCL excursion. We may just wander off the boat on our own and then get back on when we feel like it.

We have done the western once before so we would be looking to do different things this time.....not sure what just yet.

I feel bad for John having to drive to work in the snow this morning. It will be much worse trying to get home tonight....there will be ice by then too. For me it's beautiful because I don't have to go out in it.
I hope John gets home safely. Doesn't sound good for driving. :grouphug:

We weren't supposed to get snow, but I see we did! Not a lot though, looks to be only about 3-4 inches. It's snowing pretty heavily, so I suspect by the end of the day I'll have to shovel. I'll have to wait until Tyler's gone though, because he'll want to help and he shouldn't be out there yet. Although he certainly has enough energy to shovel. This kid is driving me nuts with his energy! The fever never came back, his throat never started hurting again, he really only felt sick overnight Sunday night and the first 1/2 of Monday. He's always seemed to have a good immune system. :thumbsup2 We're lucky! I know lots of people don't think Airborne has any effect, but since we take it often, I truly believe that's had an effect on keeping his immune system strong.

I'm already wiped out from Tyler's energy level. :rotfl2: Maybe I'll let him get all the snow off the car while I shovel, just to give him something to do outside which isn't much work. :thumbsup2 Then we'll go get his med (whenever we hear back from the doctor), then we'll grab Subway on the way home for lunch. :goodvibes I'm hoping to sneak in a nap after lunch while we watch a movie. ;)

Ugghhh......I guess I have to go build pirate ships now. He has the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman in Legos. HUGE ships. Santa brought one last year and one the year before. They have TONS of pieces! Fortunately, we've put them together so many times, it goes quicker than it used to.

And I suppose a day at home building pirate ships is far better than a day at work building piles of paper! :thumbsup2

I dread Legos though. Tyler gets SO frustrated and angry when they come apart. He doesn't quite get the idea that they're not made to stay together permanently when he builds them and then he's yelling and angry and throwing them, etc., then I get mad at his attitude, etc. Not a good activity.

Take care Lisa.

By the way, I searched on Facebook and came up with all the family but you. I presume you wre playing Pathwords on Don's Facebook account. You need to join yourself and have us all as your friends.

You are right, Vanessa, Daniel, Annie, Gretchen and Don all have facebooks...I need to make one ... just really don't have much time....
I will do it soon!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

More news on the job front today.

Our CIO scheduled a meeting with me this morning.

Well, it looks like I'm going to be moving on to a new job.

I could go into detail, but it would just bore everyone.

The positive thing is that I will stop reporting to 2 separate directors plus the CIO and just report to one person (Though I will work closely with the CIO).

Another plus is that I will have no direct reports, no staff (yippee!)!

Now if only I could remember the title of the role!

:thumbsup2 Congrats Ian!!

:wave2: Hi Marilyn, sounds like spring is in the air for you. How nice that would be. We have another winter storm today. We're supposed to get 4 to 8 inches of snow and then a coating of ice on top of it. It's still falling outside and it's before the ice so it looks beautiful.

I looked at excursions yesterday for Tortola and St. Thomas. I couldn't find anything that we were looking for. We wanted a hotel convenient to the beach with a nice pool. Like the excursion we went on in Cabo. Unfortunately, I didn't find a lot of good hotels like that. We're probably going to have to pick something else to do.:crazy2:

Yup..... Schools are closed. Don took Goldie out for a walk and inside they went for a SLIDE!! Don said she could not figure out how to go to the bathroom.....

We have about 6" of snow with ice on top. Supposed to snow until about 2pm....

It's snowing here again too, but thankfully, I don't believe we're supposed to have any ice. Ice is the worst! Stay safe Deb and Lisa and anyone else stuck in that mess! I would love to have Marilyn's spring-like air! Guess I'll be shoveling again before work today. I feel terrible right now. Woke up in the middle of the night with a very sore throat and I'm all stuffed up. Yuck, I hate being sick, I have no patience for it! We no longer have paid sick days at work, so I'll be dragging myself in to work tonight and right back in the morning again.

Kathe, I wish you were able to rest so you can get better. When is your next day off? Try to take care of yourself and I hope you feel better quickly.

I wish that darned pediatrician's office would call me back. It would be nice to be able to go get lunch and his med in the same trip out.

Tyler feels 100% himself. He really only felt sick Sunday night and 1/2 of Monday. Lucky guy! :thumbsup2

I hope you feel better very soon Kathe. Shame about the sick pay as you really shouldn't be going to work.:sad2:

I'm glad he is feeling so well Holly :thumbsup2 You need to get him back on his meds though so he stays that way! Don't you just hate waiting for dr's to call back

Thanks Marilyn, and good morning  Please don't tell Nan I'm going in to work! I won't be sharing my office with anyone tonight and will try to keep my distance from everyone tomorrow. Of course, half the employees are sick right now so we've probably all shared the germs by now! I have plans to keep Serenity overnight on Saturday and to have her mom over for dinner Sunday, so I just hope I'm better by then!

Kathe

Tut! I can make ADR's tomorrow for the first 10 days of our trip and the May park hours aren't out yet. Ah well, we don't want many, and we can be more relaxed with our planning those days.

We have lots of recommendations for off site restaurants, so we are going to be trying those this time.:cool1:

Lovely day here today after early rain, and sitting here indoors it looks like winter could be almost over. The snowdrops are out and the light outside seems brighter. Mmmmm, probably will snow next week now.:rotfl2:

Those May hours have to be out soon! This is the first trip I've purchased a package for, so I'm thinking of adding on the dining plan. Haven't used it before, but it might be fun to eat a few more dinners, I usually have my big meals at lunch to save money. I'm planning on choosing places where the desserts look good too, since I normally don't order those either! I will still be able to use my DDE card for a discount on drinks and extras not covered on the plan :thumbsup2 I expect by Feb 10 when I can start to make my ressies that the May hours will be out. Rumour is they'll be out by Feb 1st?

Kathe

Well, hope everyone has a good day and stays safe! I guess I better go bundle up and get the shoveling over with...although it it still snowing so will probably need it again later. I'm going to try to find time for a short nap before work, I usually don't nap well, but the rest will probably help a little. I'm already so tired! Of course, the cold air will probably wake me up!
