WBC Renting Questions?

1st time thinking about renting at WBC.

What is the "parking pass" & "be sure to avoid so don't talk to timeshare agents"?

Does that mean we must pay for parking or can't park on premises? How else do we get a parking pass?

Contacted Ken = $100 nite. Homeaway = $82 nite. Besides those $ amounts, any difference in the 2 sources - fees, amenity uses, unit location, etc?

Anything else a 1st timer should know?

Unless you're checking in late there is no way to avoid the parking pass sale. I've always given them a firm "no" and never had an issue. Be prepared for them to call your room multiple times; I always unplug the phone as soon as we're settled in. If they give you a survey check the lowest income bracket even if it doesn't pertain to you.

I c an't help with the second question. I've always booked through Ken and he was fantastic to deal with when we found ourselves stranded due to Superstorm Sandy. Our flight was canceled and we weren't able to be rebooked for another 3 days. Ken and his wife were great with sorting out our room and getting us those 3 additional nights.

You can bypass the parking pass. Just hold up your room key when pulling in through the gate.

You can bypass the parking pass table. You use your room key to get in the gate. No need for the parking pass.

You'll have to compare what each person says about their fees. Everyone has the same amenities.
