Ways 'Ohana has cut corners on dinner

I really don't have any complaints about Ohana over the years other than the one big problem that seems to always be present regardless of whether it's breakfast or dinner and regardless of the time... I have never in four visits been seated within 20 minutes of my ADR. Last year for breakfast we were seating 45 minutes past our ADR. Because of this I passed on our upcoming trip in June.

That is odd to have that happen every time. For Ohana, I usually arrive 15-20 minutes early and check in. I have never waited more than 10-15 past my ADR time, and that was when I had a later reservation. The 2 breakfast ADR's I have had, we were seated right at check in. I do notice Ohana gets backed up later in the evening. With that in mind, we try to not make an ADR past 6:00-6:15pm to avoid this. For Breakfast, we do more of a "brunch" with ADR's around 10-10:30am.

If you are experiencing a lack in offerings and the amount of times seconds are offered, they must be noticing trends in those items. Food cost % and spoilage must be racking up large numbers for them, which equals cut backs in 2nd's being offered without asking. Ask next time; they won't say no!

I doubt that. if they wanted to cut back on waste, all of the family style restaurants would come out with an appropriate starting portion for parties of two... but parties of two and parties of four get the same amount.
