Way Early I know but anyone going on Eastern May 1-8 2004?

Jen -- This is what I'm up against in terms of de-tangler spray:

alyssa_hair.jpg

Actually, it's not quite as curly now, but still a lot to get through. Note that in the picture she's already taking my money at age 3 ;) Anyway, thanks for the info.

I'm with ya on the play doh. Whoever invented that evil substance had no kids! ;)

BTW, I love that icon :badpc:

That would be what we refer to as percussive maintenance.

Julie -- It's great to learn these things as long as the glitter sunscreen stays on her and not my couch! :scared1:

Morning All!

There are so many posts during the day! Most of you must be reading & posting while your at work! Does your boss know??!!:bored: Now I know why they don't let us have the internet on the police station computers in dispatch! I'd be on there all day. This might be a problem!!!

Jason, Congrats on finishing your project! When will you know how you did?

Julie - Welcome You'll like it here

Jeff - I don't remember seeing any detangler in the shops on board but that was 3 years ago. You might want to bring some.

Hydster - Bill & I do something that I think you would love to do. We drink for the cops! :drinking1 I even get paid for it! Since some of my officers do the training my dept will still pay me for the day I go & help out at the educational event!(Good County America!) We drink & eat for 6 hours & then the officers use the field sobrity tests they have just learned on us! We've done it for several years now & have a ball doing it. SO now we know how to do those test because we have practiced!!!! :teacher: :rotfl:

Enjoy your day!

Lisa

Bah, I'm addressing comments to the wrong people already! Can I blame it on pre-vacation insanity? :bounce:

Jeff--

Don't worry, it's a normal reaction to the expected excitement of an upcoming cruise on the Disney Magic!!!

Lisa--

Thankfully the presentation isn't graded or reviewed in any way. (Emphasis on thankfully!) It was more of a professional presentation to an interdisciplinary team. I can't say enough that I'm SOOOOOOOOOO thankful it's over!!!

Hmmm, so, I should be working instead of talking on the Dis Boards while I'm at work? No, no, no. That just won't do. :teeth:

Well, if you should be working, then so should I. So let's go with no on that ;)

CM_Mom - I liked your smile for Heidi. LOL
Hydster - Would you please quit getting in trouble. You need to maintain your sanity to ensure you make the cruise. It's only a few days now. I'll be thinking about all of you on the 1st - Mike

Happy Thursday...I think I am finally starting to feel better with this stupid cold.

Reine--I like to go barefoot as often as possible at my house too but I think carpet is going to be replaced soon by Tile or Pergo..it's just too gross to think whats in the carpet!! I love the emoticon...it definitely suits me and quite a few others!:drinking:
Glad you got to talk to DD for awhile! Only a week and 2 days...that's amazing!!! I have decided that I will let my kids beat the crap out of this house and then when they get older and move out THEN I will buy my dream house that is all clean! LOL

Jason--Thanks for the hope it all gets fixed right this time. I called the main guy at recovery services this morning and ripped him a new one so I hope he gets it changed! I'm also writing into a local tv guy who checks stuff like this out for people and helps them solve it. I want someone to know the government is messing up and could care less! Only 6 more days for me til we leave!! WOOHOOO Glad you have your last minute stuff picked up...now make sure you get all packed for our mini meet at POR on Friday!

Tammy--I know...I had to have a stiff drink after that whole thing. I could just picture a cop with handcuff taking me away while I'm screaming I"M INNOCENT AND I'M GOING ON A CRUISE DAMMIT! LOL McKaylee got home to late to read the email from Kaitlin but I will have her read it today! They sound so much alike it's really cute!!! She (McKaylee) is so shy at first so I have to prod her a little bit but pretty soon she will be told she has to shut up! LOL I hope the final recital goes well and that afterwards she remembers about the cruise and gets re-excited again! I'm sure she will and I bet she will look so cute in her dance stuff! I LOVE little girls in leotards and tights!:cloud9:

Jen--ROFLMAO at the 2 things we have in common!! I LOVE the word beotch!!! And the drinking to make things better...aaah yes the liquor is like a bandaid for the soul!:worship: I think we figured out the basement problem..now we just need to get the carpet in Kaylee's room dry and then I think we will be ok! Only 1 more day of rain forcasted for the next several so maybe we can get the ground dried out again and it wont happen.
I go through my times where I am anal retentive mom and no one can do anything and then other times I just say go for it...I don't want to deal with the whining accompanied by wanting to do art and not able to. I guess part of it is because we are due to get a new kitchen floor soon..so for that I don't care and also because I too have a satanic child in Tanner. We bought brand new leather sofas 2 years ago and had the Pergo put down and had put up white beadboard and painted with crown moulding...it looked SO nice in there. The day the couches are delivered is the day before Ryan leaves to go out of town. We bought the couches with the extended protection warranty *only a handful of times do we buy something like this* and they say the girl will be out on Saturday to treat it for the warranty. Ryan leaves the next day to go to Philly and I was busy trying to get the kids in the tub one night and I go around the corner from the front bathroom and there is my little tanner with a blue sharpie marker running around in circles in my brand new living room with sharpie on the couches (1 day old) the beadboard, the walls, the big screen tv, the fresh paint, the fireplace tiles....I damn near sh*t a brick!

Welcome to the boards Julie! Hope you can make it to the meet at the goofy pool! Only 1 week to go basically! WOOHOOO

Jeff-sounds like you should get dd a job for product testing! :badpc: If it were me I'd bring your bottle of untangler with you...sometimes they don't sell that kind of stuff...better to be safe than sorry!!!

JenL--I plan on getting a local story reporter involved on this one because I now consider it harrassment! I saw AI last night..I am SO GLAD Jennifer Hudson got voted out! I hated her ever since she dressed up like Simon said in a Turkey roasting pan! LOL I SO wish that red headed John would get taken off though..he cannot sing any genre but Frank Sinatra! He gags me! I know he is only 17 but come on......

Tom...I feel very confident with you on the job to find my bra! If anyone could sniff out a hooter holder I hear it is you!!!! Keep up the work..and if not oh well!! I can't believe Roker didnt' know about Monkey and bowtie...what a dip! LOL We'll keep your wife ripped while your gone and then you can take over this weekend!:drinking1

Tom's queen I think you should take him up on the going out thing and stop by the mall on your way to dinner and drinks...they will be sad if they don't see you again!:teeth:

Jason--Great idea on the movie! I think even I would go see that! LOL

Lisa--Yeah I think all of us have started our vacation just a TAD BIT EARLY! LOL Hey now see I KNEW I'd like being with you..you know how to DRINK!!! LOL Isnt it you and me at opposite ends of the 8th deck?? Maybe we should drink like fish and then try an obstacle course in the highest seas possible from your room to mine and whoever wins has to drink and do it again?? ROFLMAO! ONLY 1 MORE WEEK...ONLY 1 MORE WEEK!!!
:thewave:

Mike--You know it would be great if someone would realize that the only thing I am in need of is ALCOHOL not child support or something! LOL It did scare the bejeezus out of me though!!!

Well I need to get showered so I can get T to school!
I will check in later!
Heidi

Hello all!

Just a quick note as there is soooo much to read all the time. I'm off tday again cDS has strep. They're calling it chronic strep at this point. I guess on the bright side I get a refrigerator at the Poly to keep the anti biotics cold and this will also keep the DH's beer nice and chill. See... God works in strange ways:)

I still cannot get DH to log on and write anything. He said he'll meet you all on the ship. I think he is afraid he just might start drinking GIN!!

He did start paching though so I know he's getting psyched:bounce:

I packed only the Tylenol, Thermometer, Aleve, Visine, etc. -the medically necessary stuff that moms pack:teeth:

I'm sure you will all be busy between now and then so If I dont write have a safe trip and see you at the Goofy Pool
OK

PS I ordered Beauty and the Beat so I can really get excited as if we werent excited enough:wave:

Later Bye Kathy

OK excuse the previous typos. It's just that I'm afraid I'll get kicked off & lose everything.

Sorry bout that:rolleyes:

Heidi - Aren't you in need of a bra also? LOL - Mike

Mike--LOL No I have Tom on that search for me..if not the duct tape is working out just fine..just need alchol..just alcohol!

Kathy--SO Sorry to hear about the chronic strep! I think when my kids get sick Strep is the worst on them. I guess the ONLY good thing is they can take anti-biotics for it. When McKaylee had strep a few months ago they offered a chance for her to make $100.00 doing lab work to test the strep she had and they would still have given her antibiotic just like normal she would just have had to have her throat swabbed twice and blood work done twice and she freaked out. I said...if I get strep can I do it and earn $100 bucks?? They laughed and said no..I was so mad she wouldn't do it..I mean a hundred bucks is a hundred bucks! CRAP!! OH well...more booze for me and less souveniers for her!:teeth: Tell Dh I say hi and that I won't hold it against him for not posting he just has to buy the first round at the meet!:sunny: :teeth:  ::yes::

OK..went tanning again..not burned again which is so nice. My face which NEVER tans is getting a nice bronze hue to it....and if my cold would go away for good I would be back to full speed. It is slowly going but man this one is a snotty one! LOL

Well off to enjoy my last 30 min of the week of freedom at home with NO ONE to annoy me (not including the hubby as he never annoys me) and then I need to get to the laundry AGAIN and hopefully chill for the rest of the day to recouperate!

Laters all!
Heidi

Heidi
love the obstacle course hallway! loser has to watch the winner drink!

I just got the new passported guide for the disney cruise today. Looks like fun reading. Does anyone know if it's true that they will give you life jackets on CC if you have your own snorkle gear? I think they do but just wanted to check.

This time next week we're at WDW!!!

Gotta go get some stuff done... a day off is never really a day off.

See ya'll later

Lisa

Lisa--LOL I love the obstacle course idea as well..we can use my Bra if Tom ever finds it, Joe and his bowtie, a badger for Jason's annoying song, beer bottles, gin, konk kooler cups and various other obstacles along the way from this board, we could borrow Jeff's dd's glitter sunscreen to paint our bodies with and use one of Tammy's soccer balls, maybe Tammy could put on a cheerleader outfit to cheer us on since she knows so much about it, Allison can put up some wine bottles, Connie can put on some liederhosen (spelling) and boy we could have a blast! LOL and I agree loser has to watch winner drink AND has to buy! LOL

When we were at CC Ryan and his dad (I have this great picture of Ryan's dad wearing my pink mask and snorkel LOL) are at the snorkel beach thinking they'd just go out but the lifeguard guy at the entrance made them wear blow up type (no not dolls you perverts) life vests in order to go snorkel so I assume that not matter where you go in the water they make you wear one!

Next week at this time I'll be dealing with what drink to have for dinner that will sit well with my 1000's of times on Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin instead of how much longer is the sick wet carpet smell going to stay in my house! WOOOHOOOOOOOO

Heidi

I'll bring the soccer balls, but no way will I put on a cheerleading outfit :cheer2: I would neve fit in it - maybe the person running the course could wear the uniform.

Oh Heidi - I love Buzz Lightyear's Ra

Oh I hate it when that happens - somehow hit the post button

Anyway - what I was saying was I love the Buzz ride at MK. Ride it once for me - we'll be at the MK the following Saturday. I want to see Wishes and since it is not showing on Friday, April 30th, I'm making my family do MK after the cruise.::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

This time next week we'll be sitting at the Holiday Inn at the airport (doing the load of homework my girls will have) and trying to get some sleep :Pinkbounc

Hi all. I think I'm getting in the spirit but I just added another project. DD said she didn't have any formal clothes on the ship so I bought material to make her a "twin set" to wear with her black pants. It's black and gold and shiny. If she doesn't like it, I'll have another dressy top. Shouldn't take too long but I'll have to spend less time on the boards and more at the sewing machine.

Actually got an email from DD. We had talked about coordinating what stuff I was bringing and what (cokes, laundry soap and bottled water) she either has or can get and leave with her roommate to pick up when we get there. Some folks need coffee in the morning, I need coke (Coca Cola for all you people with devious minds) and I'm WAY too cheap to pay for one from room service every day.

Weather her is gorgeous but looks like we'll get Heidi's rain tomorrow.

Heidi, hilarious about the constable. Glad he wasn't coming for you.

Tom, be careful on the bra search...we don't have time to bail you out of jail.

Kathy, we'll probably be busy and write too!!!:happy2: Some habits are hard to shake.

Jeff, I'm with the others on the detangler. Some things you just don't take a chance on. Bring it with you. BTW, Allysa is precious. Glad you're bringing her up right. Every girl needs to understand where the money comes from and how to separate Daddy from his...although for most of us, that's instinctive.

Julie, welcome to the boards. Those countdown clocks keep ticking. Not everyone in the group is totally crazy, but we're a lively bunch.

DH informed me that he had looked at the Navigators I had printed out and he noticed that they have bingo. He thinks that would be fun so guess we'll fit it in.

Are any of you going to the beach while in St. Maarten? I can't remember and don't have time to reread the whole thread. 64 pages, I don't think so! If you are, have you been before and which beach do you think is the best?

Check you guys later,
Reine

Travis and I did Orient Bay last May. The beach is absolutely beautiful and not at all hard to locate. (We rented a car for the day. Guess it would be even easier to locate if you take a cab! :) )

I'm not really sure how it compares to the others as that's the only one we've visited on the island.

We are looking to rent a car in St. Thomas - anyone have any experience doing this - tips you can share?

Jeff - Alyssa is adorable, I agree with the others, bring your detangler from home. My Brenna is also a yeller when it comes to hair -all I have to do is look at it and she yells "ouch!!!" She wants to have it braided on the ship, but there's no way she'll sit through that.

6 more days - the dreams have started - I woke up last night searching through my suitcases for something I never did find:crazy:

Have a great day!

Tammy
princess:

Reine -- Alyssa knows where money comes from... Daddy! If only I could keep her interested in things that cost a quarter. I have a feeling her tastes will become *slightly* more expensive as she gets older ;) I think Alyssa and I were planning on going to the beach on St. Maarten. Been to the beaches a lot on St. Thomas/St. John, so I figured we'd skip that.

Tammy -- Don't think Alyssa would sit through braiding either.

She's very excited that there will be other girls around her age on the cruise. Though I expect she'll be rather shy at first. She takes some time to get accustomed to new circumstances (probably hasn't helped that so much has changed in the past couple years... divorce, move, new house, etc.) Anyway, I'm sure she'll be fine, just a bit quiet at first.

Last shopping weekend coming up...

Jeff

They could make a movie out of it...

TOM (Voice Over):
Of all the private dicks in Sin City she had to walk into mine. I should have known she was trouble, something was not quite right about her... She was a little off. But who am I to turn down an offer from good lookin broad.

The door to the office saunters open, the backlight from the bright Las Vegas sun silhouettes Miss Heidi.

HEIDI:
I here you find things

TOM:
That depends

HEIDI:
Depends on what, big boy?

TOM:
Sometimes things don't want to be found...

Miss Heidi strolls sexily to the side of the desk and looks down on Tom. Tom loosens his already loosened tie and gulps.

HEIDI:
I lost a bra.

TOM (Voice Over):
I knew there was something off about her
