Way Early I know but anyone going on Eastern May 1-8 2004?

Alice,

I cannot take credit for finding Code 102, someone here on the boards said that it was in a Florida Travel magazine. I just called the Ron Jon resort and told them that I saw the code and they honored it. The really good deal is that it is also value season for them so a studio comes to 82.50, I have found out that they don't provide things like shampoo for your trip, but I would ask about that when you call the resort.

I am really looking forward to the cruise and I'll tell you what I was afraid of what the Queen and my bar tab was going to look like before, but if I'm hanging out with you guys I need to go to work and sell something just to pay for it.

Heidi - Ok, so I was about a foot off, location-wise!! too funny!!!!! But gotta love those miracle bras!!!

I agree with Alice - thanks Jason for "priming" us all up! I'm so glad that I found this site and was/am able to "meet" all of you before the trip! It should make for an AWESOME DIsmeet on board for sure, and I can't wait to meet ya'll!!!

I hear ya B&R's Dad!! Although I'm seldom a social drinker (if that!) I can imagine that 1-2 fu-fu drinks a day will certainly add up!!!
But, what the hey, we're on vacation!!!

:wave2:

Tracy--LOL about being a foot off...:p But yeah I am ashamed I had to go buy another bra...I threw my only good white one up on stage. Oh well...at least I got another one right? LOL I agree about getting to know people before we go. I was a little hesitant at first about even getting on a thread like this but now that I have (and I started it go figure LOL) I am so glad I did! It is so much fun!!!

Belle & Rella----Ryan and I arent huge outside of the house "drunks" but when we are on vacation we figure "what the hey...might as well live it up" so we do get quite a few fu fu drinks :teeth: although for me I really only like Gin so I usually dont drink anything other than Bahama Mama or occasionally a daquiri...but I hope they have a GREAT supply of Gin on board as I plan to suck it dry! LOL

Alice---I have NO idea what you are talking about with the post of the collective trip report or the group cruise list thing you have mentioned but it sounds like fun! Fill me in on this! I was off the boards all night (notice I didnt come back when I left off last night) so I have no idea what is going on (clueless as usual). As for keeping the thread :rotfl: hey I do what I can! LOL

Well I am off to go exercise (gotta lose that weight in 7 weeks) and then going to register my baby for Kindergarten! But like AHNOLD "I'll be BOCK" (or I'll be back)

Have a great morning everyone!

And it's time to start the :grouphug:
And almost time to start the :jumping1:

Heidi

Thank you Alice and Tracey for the kind words! But, alas, I'm only one of the individuals that made the site possible! If it wasn't for all of you sending in your info, it would be pretty bare! :)

Things are getting really exciting as we get closer and closer to C-Day!!!!!!

One thing has become clear... where ever we have our DIS meet, the bartender better have PLENTY of fu fu drinks available!!!! ::yes::

Linda

Oh my god,you guys are killing me.I´m just glad I checked before I`m off for 3 days.SWo much catching up to do.
I really hope Nanci gets us some resort discounts,I have a huge feeling I´m going to need the money for the Fu-Fu drinks(lovethis).
Heide-Im a Gin and Tonic girl as well´,but these drinks sound really good(chocolat martini and konk kooler are on my to do list).
See you all on Sunday.
Conny
PS:Welcome B+R´s Dad,you found the right thread!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Linda---Yeah we better send Disney a request to make sure the bars are plenty stocked up for this group!! LOL :teeth:

The closer it gets the more giddy I get! I cant believe we leave in 7 weeks OR 49 days, 2 hours, 20 min and 43 seconds! LOLOLOL Thanks to the Timer from Jason! LOL

Conny---Yeah beware that when you return you will have to get a good glass of gin and tonic, sit down and read read read! LOL It is really nice to know that I'm not the only one who likes gin on here! LOL Ryan is more of a whiskey and water kind of a guy (way too much hair on the chest burn for me) so it's nice to find someone who loves gin.

On another more sober (pun intended) note---I went and tried on a few bathing suits and some capris..and have decided that for the next 7 weeks I cant eat ONE THING!! What a depressing day it has been...1st my baby gets registered for Kindergarten and then I try on Bathing Suits I must be a masochist! (spelling?)

Ok...time for a yummy and nutritious Slim Fast shake..mmm mmm NOT!!!

:wave2: TaTa for now!
Heidi

Well, we've finally been assigned our cabin number. It's Category 11 on Deck 6. No upgrade for us, at least not yet! But, I can't say that I'm disappointed because I'm way too excited to be sailing on the Magic again!!!! :hyper:

I was wondering if we had decided on where and when to hold the Dis Meet? It seems that most agree on the Promenade Lounge (yes, Heidi, it has a bar ;) ) just after the mandatory lifeboat drill. That way, we can mingle for a bit and then head up to the Sail-Away Celebration where there will be fu-fu drinks galore! :D

If anyone else would like to suggest a different time and/or location for the meet, please do so. If not, then I'll go ahead and post the info on the site so that newcomers to our group will have the heads-up.

I'm probably not the best one for an opinion on a meeting time but it seems like on the last cruise we were on..by the time we got back to the cabin, put the life vests in the closet and got back up to the 9th deck the party was already underway or pretty close. I'm wondering if we should do it before the lifeboat drill?? Just a suggestion....of course I'm going to have a he** of a time getting my kids out of the pool to do anything. We have early dinner seating so between the drill, sailaway party and getting ready for dinner I dont think we would have a lot of time to meet but what do I know? I've only been on one and my inlaws were with us and they put a damper on everything that day.

Whatever everyone decides is fine with me....and if it doesnt work out for me or my family for some reason then I'll have to look for all of you later on. I will TRY to get them all there no matter what is decided...and he** if it has a bar...you KNOW I'll be there.....LOL:teeth:

But let me know your thoughts since you've been on WAY more than I have!

Heidi

I'm getting tooooo excited again:hyper: We can meet whenever is convenient for everyone else.

Alice:sunny:

Heidi, I was thinking the same thing, seems like the first day might be a bit of a time crunch, and we wouldn't have much time to get aquainted. Maybe Sunday would be better?

Linda

Seeing how it is only DH and I we can do a meeting that is more convient to those with little ones (or even big ones!) who do not want to rush around on our first day. Since I teach pre school I know what the pulling and pushing of little ones does to their dispositions and most definately sets the mood for the day:eek:

I will be checking out Jason's site to see what you all decide.

Jason & Travis Yeah finally a room assigned, I have been checking to see how many rooms are left and not very many cat 11's so as it gets closer to sail date there may be lots of last minute bookings and you still might get that upgrade yet, I see there were still several outside cabins available on deck 6 & 5, I have my fingers crossed you are upgraded to one of those!!

Good Morning everyone - I've been reading back through the last pages and it seems like we have quite a "wild" group going. We are going to have a blast. WE leave 7 weeks from today - the excitement around here is so high, I can't stand it.

Count me in on the fu fu drinks. I have a separate budget just for drinks :hyper:

We would love to meet with everyone, but I have to agree with the others Saturday might be too hectic. My vote would be for sometime Sunday. That way the kids will be settled into the clubs and would be easier for everyone to get together.

Take care,
Tammy

Since its just me and DS, we can probably swing a sat. meet or a sun. meet. On the one hand sat. would be cool to finally meet everyone and since there will be so much excitement in the air to begin with...
On the other hand, I agree it may be a little hectic that first day..

But, we'll be there with bells on whatever is decided!!!!

-Tracey

:cool1: :cool1:

Ok a couple of ideas here....

Does everyone know about what time you are going to be on the ship on Saturday? I know we are leaving POR at 11 so we should be in line to get at noon...hopefully on board by 1 (we got there late last time so we didnt have to wait) but I'm thinking everyone could get a bite to eat and maybe we could meet at like 3 somewhere near the Mickey/Goofy pools??? That way we could see each other on Saturday.

My other idea is to maybe meet up after the late seating dinner...but I dont know how that would work either. Since I havent been more than once and it was rushed and with the inlaws I am not sure if it would work.

I think it would be a riot to meet up on Saturday just because then we would know each other the whole week.

Just throwing that out there!
Heidi

I am guessing we will be around the kids pool areas around 3 pm, weather permitting, of course!!

Or we could try and meet somewhere else around that time, if those without kids don't want to brave the Mickey pool areas. Meeting earlier on Saturday sounds like a good idea to me, so we avoid the rush of life boat drill, sail away, early seating dinner, etc.

Linda

We will most likely be at the Port around 11ish....

So, we can do an early meeting too - wherever is fine with me..

I think 3:00 sounds like a good enough time for all to have eaten, gotten their cabin, made their ressies, etc.

Also, those of us with kids, this will be a good time for them to meet each other and maybe make friends right off the bat..

Can't wait!!!!

Good point Tracey!! I think there are several 5-6 year old boys in this group, aren't there?? Might make it easier when they go to the clubs later if they have already met some new friends.

Linda

I think meeting around one of the pools at 3 would be great! I did a quick list of ages so we can see what age kids go where:

Age 16- Alice Sr. - DD

Age 15 - None

Age 14 - Dthogue - DD

Age 13 None

Age 12 - Dennisnlisab - DSD
Dthogue - DD

Age 11 - None

Age 10 - Dennisnlisab - DD
Hydster - DD

Age 9 - Hydster - DS

Age 8 - Belle and Rella's Dad - DD

Age 7 - Dennisnlisab - DD
Terihammond - DS

Age 6 - Scraphappymama - DS
Saturday 97 - DS

Age 5 - Dennisnlisab - DD
Dthogue - DD
Logansmommy - DS
Terihammond - DD
Belle and Rella's Dad - DD
Hydster - DS

Age 4 - None

Age 3 - Scraphappymama - DD

Age 2 - Dennisnlisab - DD
Belle and Rella's Dad - DD

Age 1 - None

Age 10 months - Dennisnlisab - DS

If I've missed someone or gotten an age wrong let me know! Maybe with a list like this we can get the kids excited about kids their ages or close to them that they would be in the same age group.

Off to lunch and Tanner to preschool!
Heidi

I didn't want to say anything earlier because I didn't want to push anyone to meet at a time that would cause stress; but I would love to meet on Saturday. I'm just as excited about meeting everyone as I am the trip. I think 3:00 at the kids pool is great. I would love to see all the kids together and I agree it would probably be a nice ice breaker for them.

It is windy and freezing here today, sorry Tracey I think it's coming your way.

I got the cruise DVD yesterday, it's nice but the main reason I ordered it was to check out the attire; I couldn't really tell because they hop :Pinkbounc around with the camera too much.

Well it's so cold here I'm going to go shop for some sun dresses to warm:sunny: my spirit.

Almost TGIF,

Alice
