Waxing Underarms..

I hated threading. Love the results but it does hurt!

Sugar waxing is done without strips. The wax never fully hardens.

I've never wanted to try threading--It seems yucky to me that the lady is holding the other end in her mouth!

Also, I don't like the way a lot of places here, threading is done right out in the open---like in the middle of a mall. Just a chair in the main walkway!

I live at the beach, and I'm Italian...so waxing is a part of life, LOL. I don't think the underarms hurt anymore than eyebrows, although they will feel tender longer. As for other "regions"...HOLY MOLY. I DIY at home and I dropped to the floor in pain. It seriously took my breath away. And I gave birth to two children without any pain meds. So that just puts it in perspective for you.

Honestly, it's all relative though. What is gonna hurt one person, is fine for the next. I personally love waxing. Since I'm lazy and it lasts so much longer than shaving. Just keep in mind that the first time waxing something is always the most painful.

I don't think it's that bad either! It's weird how differently people perceive pain.

I have found the sugar waxing to be easier than traditional hot wax.

I don't mind threading on my eyebrows, but one time I let the threader do my upper lip. I never want to do that again. OUCH!!


I tried to wax my own underarms with a kit. Very painful. If I ever want it done again, I will have done by someone who knows what she is doing. I'll ask around until I find someone who is the "underarm lady".

Threading once. NEVER AGAIN. The MOST painful thing I have ever had done. Next up lip wax. I will have a mustache before I have that waxed again. Brazillian I have had multiple and find that sometimes they hurt worse than others but totally worth not having to shave.

I have done threading on my eyebrows and it didn't hurt at all, same with waxing my eyebrows. I tried doing the at home waxing on my legs and I thought I was going to die lol... I have also done laser hair removal on my legs and that hurt too, but it was really fast.

Yes, same here. I'll never do threading again either. It feels like a zipper going across your skin. Awful feeling!
