I'm wondering what have people thought of this restaurant. I'm thinking of an ADR for a birthday dinner.

My family and I went to The Wave in March and I will return on my Oct. vacation. Delicious food and dimly lit and quiet. Loved it. I think you will love it too.

Would it be okay to take a kid there?

We believe the Wave is a great place. The service is excellent, the decore is nice (given the cave of a locaiton) and the menu has many adult options that are awsome.

HOWEVER -- the kids choices are poor and the portion (like pasta) are not in accordance with with a kid eats. Too little food, too few options.

They are hell bent on paper straws. Must be some kind of enviromental statment that I am missing the point of given the rest of Disney has pastic straws.

We would go, and you should too. Just don't have high expectations for the kids.

I made an ADR for me and my 3yr old son, what did your kids order? and for the concept of the straws I think it is like a go Green thing, my son was born at 28 weeks and was 2 lbs first child and only, and although I am a thick country girl, I did organic and all natural foods for him I still do as much as I can for him now , and the place is I guess Disney's way of all natural, and fresh foods, I thought it would be a good place to take him, I feel like my eating habits or not the best but I have tried to teach him the correct way to eat, no sodas, kool aid, but water and 100% juices, granola, organic whole milk, no candy but a nice granola bar or nuts and fruit, I am doing better now and sometimes let him eat regular kids stuff but no fast food stuff, I guess I am a hypocrite since I don’t eat the same way,oh well he doesn’t know it loll! But back to the topic what kind of bread do they serve with the meal and can you get those smoothies with the Disney Dinner Plan? what would you recommend me to order for Dinner

We ate there in March and it was incredible...went again just 2 weeks ago and it was delish! Pics and full reviews in both my links

Had lunch at the Wave this past November. Loved the Classic Reuben Sandwich. Probably the best I've ever eaten (and I've had several in the past in New York at some of the delies in Manhattan.} Of course, that's not something the average child would like I reckon.

My DH and I were there in May. We loved The Wave. We did Deluxe Dining on this trip since it was our anniversary trip. I have to say that this was the best meal of our entire trip (even better than Le Cellier).

I ate at the Wave in April with my husband and two kids. We really liked the restaurant and the food. It wasn't very busy and our server was very attentive and treated our kids extra-special. I had the special 'fish' and loved it. My husband had the steak and liked it. I honestly can't remember what the kids had but they loved the build to order sundae that came with the meal! We were on the DDP and the cost for the DDP was definitely less than menu prices so that was a bonus. I will say the desserts were a neat idea (small samplings) but I actually didn't like all the desserts. That was a shame because I am a sugar-aholic :)

If I were staying at a monorail resort, I would eat here in a heartbeat but I would not go out of my way to eat here - there are plenty of other great places to eat and I don't like taking an hour to get to my dinner ressie.
