We have not tried GF Cafe, so I can’t speak of that, but we absolutely fell in love with the Wave! We have had 3 amazing dinners here. The meals were great, as was the service.
I've had lunch at both, and I must say that I prefer the GFC for the food, but especially for the restaurant itself. The Wave feels a little closed in to me.
Have eaten at the GFC a few times, been pleased. Looking forward to our first ADR for dinner at the Wave, staying at BLT, which will be super convenient. Have read very favorable comments on the Wave.
The Wave is one of the hidden gems of WDW. We have only been there for dinner, but have heard good things about other meals they serve. It is quiet and the food is excellent.
Based on our last trip 2 weeks ago, we preferred the GFC for dinner. We have been going to both for years and have always preferred The Wave over the GFC, but most recently both the food and service at the GFC were superior. We even had dinner at the GFC twice during the trip because we enjoyed it so much.
The Wave has one of the best breakfast buffets on property as well as ordering a la carte , may I suggest trying there for breakfast and sticking with the GFC for dinner , there’s just something magical about being at the Grand Floridian
I think they are pretty comparable dinner-wise, though the one time we at the The Wave for dinner the restaurant had a horrible smell that distracted greatly from the food. That said I think breakfast is definitely the meal where they both shine!
