My friend & I are going (just the two of us) for a girls' week. We both have a kind of whimsical nature that we've had to hide most of the time for the last 30 years or so (sometimes being grown up is no fun!). :lmao:

Anyway, we're going to be on the DxDDP - we're not foodies, but like the experience of dining out. We realized we'd have to add another week to hit all the places we want to try! But we're going to do a lot of fun places (we're even thinking about wearing big frilly hats for afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian...it's not like anyone knows us there...) :cutie:

We had one breakfast left over, and I was thinking Wave - but just read a thread about the 1900 Park Fare Breakfast (I've done dinner there before) and it sounds like a hoot. Should I switch?

I would go to the Wave or Grand Floridian Cafe...they are both fantastic.

1900 PF was a huge bust for us, not only was the service terrible, the food horrible, but that idiot Mad Hatter screeching like a freak the entire time made us miserable

I've never been to the Wave.

We did try 1900 Park Faire breakfast for the first time this past September and loved it - we'll be back. All of the characters were great! It was FUN!!

We're going to do the Grand Floridian Cafe one morning. And have tea one afternoon. We're going to be there for 10 days - we just have that one last breakfast to fill.

I guess it's all in what you like. Silliness & noise is a turn-off for some people. My friend not only grew up on a farm with 3 brothers, but she has 4 kids (2 are grown), 3 huge "lap" dogs (the golden retriever is the LITTLE one), and is a nurse at a children's hospital. She thought Whispering Canyon Cafe sounded like the biggest hoot.

I've read some really good reviews of Wave. But I've also read "good" things about it using words like "sustainable" and "environmentally friendly" - which sound kind of stuffy - like it caters to incredibly earnest people who are as pleased with their contribution to the planet as the food.

If the food is edible and the place is fun, 1900 might be the place for us. :confused3

Good for you! Me, mom dad and sis are all going in a few weeks and we go every year! We are just big kids! I am 32 and the youngest of the bunch! We hit all the character meals and do all the kids stuff! So I say go and have a great time and do what you want!
The Wave is at the Contemporary and a good place for dinner, never had breakfast there. But 1900 Park Fare is good for bfast and dinner! They skys the limit at Disney! Do what you want!
