dinner at The Wave followed by fireworks at TOTWL ...
Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

Im at BLT from January 4-12 and hoping we can go up for a few drinks.

IMO, the only benefit might be the reserved area for fireworks viewing and better service for drinks in the lounge. There are good viewing areas on the entire deck and it's easy to get a reservation at the WAVE. Probably cost less to arrange on your own. YMMV.

Yeah. The key areas where there would be value are (a) if this is available on blackout dates, or, (b) because they're restricting TOTW access.

We’re booked for Jan. 21 and will report back afterwards. We chose to book it because the price seemed reasonable for dinner, dessert & drinks and we were planning to visit TOTWL this trip anyway. We’re staying onsite this visit, but this event would be especially attractive when we stay offsite and don’t have access to TOTWL otherwise (under current rules).

Just posted in another thread, but just booked the dinner for January 28th and here's what the DVC MS CM provided me:

  • $73.45 per adult which includes tax & gratuity
  • Includes one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert from The Wave's regular menu
  • Small desserts & drinks to follow in TOTW Lounge for private fireworks viewing (who knows what that means)
  • For our date, dinner begins at 6:30 pm
  • Full Payment required at time of booking
  • 48 hour cancellation
  • No Children under 12 permitted
I agree with Carolyn, the price was decent and we've never dined at The Wave or have taken any time to go to TOTWL, so what the heck ;)
