Wave breakfast buffett

We ate there in early March and absolutely loved it! We were staying at the CR as well and walked up around 8:30 or 8:45 for breakfast for three. I have to eat gluten free (celiac), and I was well taken care of. My 9 year old and my husband also found items that satisfied their diverse interests. We ended up skipping lunch altogether that day!

My Mom is a celiac as well - I'm looking for a place for breakfast for us, good to know this would work! (Though she'd be happy just with the bottomless mimosa's! :) )

Has anyone been to both The Wave and Grand Floridian Cafe? From what I've seen from the menu most items are very similar with The Wave providing the added benefit of the buffet so that you can try everything. (Except of course the Lobster Eggs Benedict which is what my wife wants - Lol)

We've done both. I'm a big fan of Eggs Benedict, regular ones, not fancied up or fake ones. So I got the buffet at the Wave since it had Eggs Benedict on it. They were soggy. So I now order off the menu and skip the buffet since my purpose for dining there is Eggs Benedict. No where else has the standard Eggs Benedict until just recently when the GFCafe put them back on the menu after not having them for about three years.

Has anyone tried the breakfast buffet at the Wave recently? We are going in June and thinking of eating there since we are staying at CR, but wanted to get some opinions. TIA!
We were very pleasantly surprised with the breakfast buffet at the Wave. It is a must for us now every year. To me, it's a hidden gem....Shhhh...don't let anyone else know. I like the fact that I've always been able to get a reservation even after the 180 days!

LOVE the Wave breakfast buffet. My DD is over character meals and so glad we found this on our last trip!
Yes! We are over character meals as well. However, we do like the breakfast buffet at least once during our trips and The Wave is perfect! My kids love it.
