wating list how do they work do i have to have the points not booked or can i book say 3 nights okw and ask to change to wlv thanks

If I want to waitlist for a resort, I will book my trip at another open resort and then waitlist for the resort that I prefer.

The only time that I don't have a resort booked when I waitlist is if there aren't any resorts available.
