How many rooms are waterviews in the concierge building?? And I am just asumming that concierge is in one building is it??!!
Anyone have a room suggestion for concierge that is has a view of the water?? Oha nd a balcony or walk out???
Thanks!! :)

Half of the rooms in Hawaii are waterview rooms. If you book lagoon view you face the lake and the castle. The first floor is nonsmoking with patios, the 2nd is nonsmoking with no balcony, and the third floor is smoking optional with a balcony. Most people seem to report the rooms on that floor do not smell of smoke, though. We've only been on the first floor and love it. Second floor is convenient to the lounge. Have fun!

We had lagoon concierge room 1512 at the Poly, and it had a GREAT view of the castle. You could also see the GF and Contemporary from our room. We were on the first floor, so we had a patio. Here is a link to my ofoto album with pictures of the room and the view. Hope this helps!

get the first floor conc water view- its great to walk out on the beach at night and relax

Hawaii longhouse has 54 lagoon view rooms on 3 floors. The Concierge will be moved over to Tahiti for a few months starting in June while Hawaii is refurbished. When in Tahiti it will have 69 lagoon view rooms.

As far as Hawaii longhouse is concerned the view situation is:
1501 is down next to the lounge and the view of the castle is partly blocked by palms on the beach.
1502 is also partly blocked by palms
1503 is partly blocked by beach palms
1504 is slightly blocked by beach palms
1505 is clear to the castle
1506 is blocked by palms on the grass in front of the longhouse.
1507 is clear with a good view
1508 is slightly blocked by palms on grass
1509 is slightly blocked by palms on the grass
1510 is a good view
1511 is a good view
1512 is a good view
1513 trees on the path block view of lagoon and castle
1514 trees block view of lagoon and castle
1515 trees partly block view on the left
1516 good view
1517 good view
1518 (last lagoon view room) slightly covered by foliage on the right but has a view of the lagoon and castle.

These are all looking from the ground level but some of the partly blocked views are the same on the upper levels. The other thing I will say is that even a partly blocked view (which everyone stays away from) is still a great view. I would not consider any of the lagoon views horrible but some are better than others.

Here is a link to our view from 1505.

We were in 1508 last month and loved the view. It wasn't blocked by palms at all but there is a hedge at the sidewalk line that blocks the view of the beach. We liked that!:D It had a clear view of the castle. You can see the fireworks and electrical water pageant perfectly but have a little more privacy...or at least the illusion of privacy. :D Maybe some palms have been trimmed since July, Tikiman? At any rate, we loved that room and view.

1508 is a good room. When I say partly blocked I don't mean you can't see the castle. I just know how picky people get about their views so I stood on each patio and looked at the view and wrote it in my notes. I noticed a palm off to the side of the view so I wrote partial blocked. It was one of the palms that is growing in the bushes of the grass area. I think all the rooms have great views but I know some people don't want anything between them and the water.

Gotcha....I 've seen some of those posts! I LOVE having the palms on the beach. It adds to the magic. The shade can be nice, too!:D

Tikiman great info as usual!!!! Wow Im very excited!!!!! :)

Oh by the way are any of these rooms "walk out" I know you can not lock you r room if you leave from your slider but can you walk out?? :)

Yes. All of the ground level rooms are open patios and you can walk out.

Here is looking out the door.

WOW!!!!!! That is such a great view!!!! And people say who cares about the view!!! I do!!! lol lol :) :)

Tikiman-You must have had a million people (slight exaggeration) requesting room 1505. I know I will be when I go in February. Have the desk people ever told you that? Just curious.

I think they have mentioned that there are quite a few requests for 1505 but the one thing they told me that surprised me was that after our engagement trip I started my web pages and the next summer most of the honeymooners had reported going to the Polynesian because of my web pages. That summer also the Polynesian became the #1 destination for honeymooners out of all the WDW resorts.

Guess I better not give away all the secrets.
