I have never really needed/wanted waterproof sandles before, but do now. I'm also having a hard time finding any here :sad2:

What shoe brands have waterproof shoes? I have heard about Keen already, but which others?

I'm hoping to find not only waterproof sandles, but good arch support and preferrably not open toes.

I figure I'll start checking out each brand that has waterproof shoes.

Thanks!!

go to zappos and type in water shoe you will get 560 resaults.

Thanks for the suggestion but 500+ results is the problem! Too many hits... too many companies that say their shoes are "waterproof" when they really aren't..

I was really hoping for some DIS members to let me know about brands they have used and KNOW from experience are truly waterproof.

No one? Seriously? Please and thank you!

I really like the Lands' End womens' mary-jane style water shoes. We get the kids' water shoes there, too. The price and return policy are great. Our experience has been that they dry out really quickly, especially in the FL sun, and I'm never worried about getting splashed!

My Teva sandals are freakin awesome!! :cool1:

are you looking for waterproof shoes to wear at a waterpark? Or waterproof shoes so that if it's raining you can just keep on going and not worry about bogged down tennis shoes?

If it's for a waterpark type situation, I would also go with the lands end maryjane style water shoes.

If it is for touring man do I have the perfect shoes. I first got these for my Sept trip in 2008 because I was afraid of hurricanes but not so afraid that I was going to stay out of the parks. They are The North Face Padda shoes. The look just like sneakers, but the sides have mesh and the bottoms have vents to allow water out. I've literally stepped in water up to my ankle and my shoes have been dry in 2 minutes. They are so comfortable that I wore them all the time and I just got another pair for my trip coming up in May (the last pair did survive a total of 4 Disney Vacations).

Are the waterproof shoes you are looking for for the waterparks or for the parks in general?? If you are looking for the parks in general, I would recommend Crocs - love the comfort and knowing they are completely waterproof.

I have had Teva's in the past that I like...Just got a pair of Keen's for this years trip!!

For the past 5 years I have bought the DS's water shoes from lands end. They have been great for walking vacation activities. I also have a pair which I will now alternate with my sketchers sandals.

Vibram Five Fingers. No support (but then again that's against their design principle).

I have also been happy with the Land's End Mary Jane style. I just got home from Sears with a new pair for each of my girls. They do have arch support, and are much more "shoe-like" than some other water shoes.

I live and die in my Tevas from April to October (and I live in MN). I'd rather wear them at the parks than my tennies, way more support and comfort. Zappos or Teva on line.
