Waterparks?

We are headed down first week in May and plan to do several 1/2 days at the waterparks. I can't figure out the best way to get to and from them. We will be staying on site will have our car but hoping to just use disney transportation if possible. Can someone help?

There are buses that run to the waterparks just like the parks, and you pick them up at the same bus stop you would a park bus. I believe there was an Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach bus last summer. They dropped at AK first then onto BB. Typhoon Lagoon might share, too, but I can't remember. I will say, if I had a car I might be inclined to drive. The parking lot at Blizzard Beach was decent-sized and just as close as the buses to the waterpark entrance, but of course there is something to be said for letting someone else drive you around Have fun!

Before TL closed for refurbishment, there was no direct service to TL from or to the resorts after 2pm; everyone had to change buses at Epcot. So I would recommend driving to TL; it is not far from PO.

BB is a quick and easy bus ride, and a longer drive than TL, so the bus would be a good option. You might want to bring along some jeans and a dry shirt so you don't get too chilled on the bus ride back.

If it were me, we'd probably do AK in the morning (pack our swim suits), and take the bus from AK to BB when you're ready to spend the afternoon there (you'll most likely be making a stop at BB on the way back from AK anyways.

If they don't change the TL bus procedures then I'd probably drive too if you're going to be there after 2...it's a real pain to switch buses etc. - The TL bus shares with DTD.

If you're thinking of traveling directly between a water park and a theme park, BB has direct buses to/from Epcot, DHS, and AK; no buses to/from MK or DS. The Epcot bus goes thru CSR, so it takes about half an hour, but no change of buses required.

TL has no buses to or from any theme park, except the aforementioned mandatory bus to/from Epcot after 2pm. Buses run one-way from TL to DS before about 11:30am, and from DS between 11am and 2pm, which is not much help unless you're going to TL after lunch at DS.

It is possible that TL bus service could change as the construction around DS progresses.

When we have a car, we prefer driving to/ from the water parks. Those busses are super cold when you are wet. We also can bring our towels and snacks more easily. You can definitely use busses. Maybe try the bus one time to see how it goes.
