Waterparks: Which one is your favorite?

So far, Corey and I have only visited Discovery Cove and Blizzard Beach. Both were great, but very different water park experiences. I am curious about which of the locally offered Waterpark facilities in the Orlando area that you enjoy the most. If you would please, post what it is about the facility that makes it the best, in your opinion.

We have only been to Blizzard Brach or Typhoon Lagoon.

I wouldn't consider Discovery Cove a water park, it's more a theme park in the water (no slides etc).

I havent been to the new Sea World one, but I heard it's very tiny (but fun).

Personally I'm a Typhoon Lagoon boy myself

Agreed about Discovery Cove not being a traditional waterpark, but I felt that I should include it. By including it, I did feel that it was important to make the poll multiple choice.

I like the wave pool at TL the best. Gotta love crashing into people completely blinded byt the huge wave that just knocked u over.

Glad to hear folks enjoy BB. I have been toting water park tickets around for the past 2 years. This year we are REALLY going to a water park! (I think.)

I have been to Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach and Discovery Cove.

I wish I had gone to River Country when it was open ! This was my brother's favorite place to escape the exhaustion of the parks at Disney.

I agree about Discovery Cove not being a water park (it is still quite fun to do at least once in Orlando).

My favorite Waterpark is Typhoon Lagoon, the theming, the relaxed level, the shops, snacks, beach music, moderate level slides, tube and raft rides. I only prefer to go to a waterpark for about 4 or less hours, and I enjoy this park for a quick way to cool off, getting in and out of the waterpark easily. It has a huge wave pool, one of my favorites I have been to in the USA. It has a nice lazy river ride. Also I enjoy that is right next to Downtown Disney making it a very quick Disney bus connection stop away.

I definitely think Blizzard Beach is a more aggressive waterpark for those seeking the more thrilling slides, but there is a lot more walking to be done there too. My BF wants to go there on our next visit, I will probably be in the wave pool and the very long lazy river ride there. If you love the thrill water rides, Blizzard beach has more to offer, and gives you more of a scream experience and a physical workout, and spend a full day there.

It pays to go early if you are looking for a chaise lounge with covered shade at either of these waterparks, if you can't take a full day of the sun.

In case you guys didn't know, the water parks are one area of Disney where you can bring a cooler with a picnic lunch!

No booze or glass are the only rules I am aware of! Both parks have large picnic areas! (They will ask you to open the cooler to look inside)

Even if you are not a local, get one of those $1.00 styrofoam coolers at Walmart, some cold cuts, bread, and fruit, and you will be all set! No waiting in long lines for crappy food!

I can't do them either.......but it has nothing to do with my job. It has to do with the fact that I won't wear a swim suit in public.

Thanks Mike, that is a great option I was unaware of. Now I can have my Diet Cherry Pepsi at Typhoon Lagoon ! However I will have to walk to the Disney HESS station near the Boardwalk to get supplies, I will bring my little nylon cooler folded up on the plane. Can I use it at Stormalong Bay ?

We've brought lunches, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks into the MK, EPCOT, AK and DHS parks for years. Please know that we've not ever been to the water parks though.

We have stayed at BC and brought our small cooler poolside with us. No glass of any kind, of course. I don't recall anyone asking to look into the cooler at poolside.

Rules change though, so always be prepared for that!
