We were there Nov 2002, too, for 10 days including Thanksgiving week. While there were days that got warm enough in the afternoon, we didn't feel it was warm enough to swim. The mornings and evenings were cool. Thanksgiving night was just cold. My in-laws from Minneapolis were, like us, wearing jackets and jeans in the evenings. My fil bought a jacket at WDW, because a sweatshirt wasn't warm enough for him in the evenings (not to mention he really liked the jacket). They agreed that you could've probably gotten in a heated pool SOME days in the 11-3 range, but overall it was not great swimming weather. Factor in where you live, and be flexible. I remember that the morning of Thanksgiving, my dd had to wear leggings under her Cinderella gown, a tee under it, and a sweatshirt over it. Every morning my boys were wearing sweatshirts with their t-shirts and shorts until it warmed up. At night we bundled up again. The day after Thanksgiving never got warm enough to shed the layers. My in-laws commented that it was not as warm as they'd expected, although it was certainly much nicer than where they lived. All of us had hoppers with plus options to use at water parks and had hoped to do just that. We were also flexible enough to leave the parks for a swim, but we weren't even tempted. Be prepared, so if the weather is warm enough for you that you can, but have a plan so that not going won't leave a hole in your vacation. I'd consider swimming a bonus, not a given, at that time of year.
