Anyone here done any of the waterparks? My son with ASD does NOT like moost of the slides or anything thrilling... He is probably too big now for the waterplay areas.. He can get "quirky" if it's too crowded etc. He will get very upset if there are other teens/prettens jostling, pushing, screaming etc.Can anyone give me any comparisons to Water Country USA- that's the only one we have been to. He can tolerate the lazy river there and one of the small slides... He LOVED the waterplay area mostly but like I said, he's probably too big now.

The two WDW waterparks are unlike just about any other waterparks anywhere. Instead of just slides and structure, thery are very landscaped and, for the most part, the slides and access to them are built into hillsides.

I would say it would depend on the time of year, but as long as it is not peak season the waterparks are large enough that there are always quiet areas.

My ASD son isn't a fan of anything daring, but he always loves the lazy river. He always enjoyed the water parks, even after he got too big for the water play area. I've gotten him on some slides and rafts, but they can't be too steep. I have a friend with an ASD daughter and she LOVES the wave pool. Apparently, it is great if you have vestibular issues.
