We're going to dis next week. We do not have waterpark tickets added to our regular base tickets yet.

We're not sure how many days we'll visit the waterpark (depends on if they're open and people are going there right now - weather wise???) note we're coming from Maine and it's darned cold up here right now so....

How is the best way to plan this? How much is a ticket adult/child? How much would it be to add it on to our existing when we arrive?

Trying to weigh our options on what we can do....it's probably too late to order tickets from somewhere else cheaper by now....

A one day waterpark ticket is $60/adult $54/child.
If you are going for more than 1 day, you can add the Waterparks and More option to your ticket for $64/person. ($26/person if you already have the Park Hopper option on your ticket).
See info Below about Waterparks and More option (its a great value add-on):

Adding the Water Park Fun & More to your park tickets allows you to visit the four main parks (Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®,Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park) for the number of days on your ticket. It also includes the same number of Fun Visits, which are admissions to ...
  • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
  • Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course (tee time reservations required and subject to availability)
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports (including 30 minutes of game access at The PlayStation Pavilion on days when it is operating; some events require additional admission)
  • Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (one mini golf visit per day before 4:00 p.m.)
  • Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one mini golf visit per day before 4:00 p.m.)
To sum up, with a 5 day Water Park Fun & More ticket, you’ll get five days at the four main parks andfive Fun Visits.

I see DisneyQuest is no longer even listed :(

someone mentioned somewhere that I can go and purchase at the gate and if I decided to go back, save our slips go to the guest relations and add $5 extra for the remainder of the week????

I don't see us adding anything until we get there anyway...
I want to wait and see what the weather and the temps are...

You can upgrade your ticket at guest services at any time up until the last day of your ticket

For just a few dollars, I would leave yourself the flexibility in case there is a rainy or chilly day. New Years Day at Epcot it just rained all day without break.
If you're at a water park and it closes at say 2 pm due to rain, you get no refund so keep that in mind.
