We are going down in a couple of weeks. The waterpark hours for BB and Tl are 9-8. In your experience, how are the crowds throughout the day at the following times?

9-12
12-4
4-8

We are just wondering how the flow of crowds usually goes at the waterparks. Does the early bird get the worm like in the theme parks, or do the parks slow down in the middle of afternoon?

We are early birds. Although we are not experts, 12-4 appears to be a peak period. I would say either do the am or do the pm shift. The only risk of going anytime between 1pm and 7pm is the chance of thunderstorms during the hot parts of the year. You can still hang out in a land park during a storm, but they kick everyone out of the water once they see/hear lightning and thunder. It is no fun to sit in the rain and cross your fingers that it won't last long.

We went to Blizzard Beach on June 22 and it was pretty crowded. We still had fun, but the lazy river was just crazy crowded and no fun at all. We got into the park at about 10:30 AM and left about 3:30 PM. So I would go early, leave when it gets too crowded and then hit another park later. We were late getting to the park that day because we were at the DVC office all morning.

Arrival 9-12 - there is a chance that by 11:00 or so there may be capacity closing.

Arrival 12-4 - There is a change that until 1:30 or so there maybe capacity closing

Arrival 4-8 - Much lower crowd levels, high possibility of thunderstorms.
