Water with no bag or a small bag

I have gone from taking nothing as a kid into my early 20's, to a small backpack, in my late 20's early 30's, to a stroller (I miss that!) with everything under the sun in it from my mid 30's to early 40's, back to a small backpack through my mid 40's and am now going to do my next trip with a tiny little belt bag.

For those who do not carry a backpack, how do you bring water? My friend and I joked about the Stanley canteens because they are super cute but I don't think I want to carry one around all day. I then thought maybe a locker for water breaks but going back to main Street for water seems silly and way out of the way depending on where we are in the park. I feel like getting water from a quick service restaurant would be wasting cups with how often we would need to based on our water consumption.

If I truly can't figure this out I'm going to just go back to the small backpack.

I have bottled water in my room. I carry one in my hand to the park and then refill it as needed throughout the day. The empty plastic bottle is much lighter than an insulated one, and easy to refill at the water refill stations. I have a little carrier attached to a carabiner so it can attach to a belt loop when not needed, At the end of the day, I put my bottle in the recycling bin and start fresh the next day.

We have a belt loop thing that holds onto a bottle. But then you have the bottle smacking your leg all day. I'd probably bring a bottle, drink it, maybe fill it again once then toss it, and then do the cups of water from counter service. I find in the morning carrying stuff doesn't bother me as much as later in the day when I'm tired. I'd bring those little packs of flavoring to add to the water.

I also carry a Lululemon belt bag and really want to take water. I have decided I’ll take a water bottle (240mls) from my running water belt. It fits into my belt bag perfectly.

At times I've used a bottle holder that slips onto the pack's waist belt, like this:

I bought a really nice quality shoulder water and phone holder on Amazon - I usually have my phone in my back pocket and cards, sun lipstick in the pouch. But still found just carrying a large shoulder bag (with the wider straps) and keeping it mostly Empty for weight still works best for me. I really have to have that water bottle to remind myself to drink! I only carry the smaller 14 oz plastic bottle (again, for weight) and refill it around the park. I add the locker for $7 if I'm going to need nightime jackets and might toss an extra water in there so I'm not drinking Disney tap water too much. My difficulty is remembering to hit the locker as I leave when I'm tired lol. I also have a lightweight closeable coffee mug for in the morning if I need to put my coffee in it to get on a ride.

This is what I'm bringing for a belt bag, I have both sizes . Which one do you use and do you have more into on that water bottle you are talking about? I'd love to look into it.

I’m using the 2L Lulu belt bag and popping in one of my water bottles from my water belt similar to this: https://www.amazon.ca/Sports-Runnin...29b5aa63c54b2ee2749bfc18ebd&gad_source=1&th=1

My water bottle is made by Fuel Belt and is 5” tall and 3.5” wide at its widest point. This fits perfectly into the 2L bag.

I started going to the parks bag free about 15 years ago after I realized that we didn't use 99% of the stuff in the crossbody bag that I carried around the parks for years. After wasting money trying to find a bottle holder or something similar to be able to easily carry a water bottle hands free around the parks, I gave up and now just buy a bottle of water in the park when I need one. I keep water in the room and take a bottle with me when I leave, but when that's gone, I buy another one. I don't like the way water from a fountain/refill station tastes and I want my water ice cold when I'm drinking it. DH & I will usually share a bottle so that we drink the whole thing before it starts to get warm. We spend about $20-25 (total) a day buying water for the two of us. I'll do without a few dinners out at home to save up the money to buy water in the park. Not worth it to me to lug a bottle or bag of bottles around all day. I use an Owala at home that I LOVE and take with me everywhere, but I wouldn't even entertain the thought of lugging that thing around the park all day. My daughter uses something similar to the Mindful Ventures carrier in a previous post because she has a medical condition that requires her to have medication with her at all times, so she needs to have a small bag no matter what. The bag worked fine for her but she would still prefer no bag at all and to just buy water when she wants it.

And of course, don't overlook Camelbaks. Probably not a good solution for the OP because it requires a small backpack, but it's sure handy having a water line right by your shoulder ready to drink from.

I am going to try this and just take my bigger belt bag. I don't take much else with me so I should be good fitting it. I just am excited to not have a backpack. I hate carrying one.

My husband will bring one of those on warmer trips, well when he comes that is. It's pretty nice. When he comes I can go completely hands free because he's a trooper and carries a bigger backpack so all of our stuff can go in it.

We did our last two trips without water for the first time since we were childless and it went fine. We'd hydrate really well at meals and then carry the meal cups a little longer until empty (we always have water with meals). There are water fountains near many restrooms, so we'd grab sips here and there has we stopped to use them. We probably only needed to stop for a cup at counter service once a day which is pretty simple because they seem to always have a stack of filled waters ready to go.

I usually ask for ice water at the quick serves.

I also have a collapsible water bottle that rolls up and clips onto my purse strap. It's easily filled from any water refill station.

I'd just buy & carry a bottle of water from the store that way if you lose it, it doesn't matter as much.

I carry a wristlet for my necessities which rarely includes water. A belt clip for a water container would be fine if needed.
