Would it be Ok for my chlidren to use pool toys at the Disneyland Hotel Pool? Specifically I am wondering about inner-tubes to float around on and dive sticks to retreve from the bottom of the pool?

I had asked this very question when we went to WDW last. We stayed at CBR and they told us that the dive sticks were allowed but no inflatables. They said that the inflatables have potential of blocking the lifeguard's view. I would assume the rules would be the same for all Disney pools.

Bummer if they cant use inflatables, my kids (OK and DH too :thumbsup2 ) love to float around on those things.
I had forgotten that the on property hotels actually have lifeguards, I guess they could create a visual block for them

Anyone else who has stayed at DLH have any first hand knowledge?

Last year, week after Mem Day weekend, we used the pool. I remember that the posted rules stated NO inflatables...but people were using them. Some little girl had something like two innertubes and a floatie vest.

I personally was pretty annoyed by it. DS used a provided life vest, wasn't taking up more room than one person should, and it gets pretty unnecessarily crowded when kids have big rings around them.

But the lifeguards on that day at that pool weren't stopping it from happening.

As for diving toys...I didn't see anyone using those, and I would have noticed.

really?!?!?!

I was counting on being able to use our two inner tubes for our 3.5 year old and 2 year old - they are not great swimmer and unless there is a toddler pool at VGC that is the best way for them to swim - with us....

So looks like its a no unless the lifeguard is in a good mood ??
