We are sailing March 11 (3 day). Can anyone tell me what we can expect the water temp to be like for snorkling and swimming in Nassau?

Well MontiD, I've only ******d in December and January but just booked a 7-day for next March. I sure do hope the water temp is better than we've seen in December and January.

If you go to http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KORL/1995/5/28/DailyHistory.html (I think this will automatically open up to Orlando in May) and enter in a new location and dates, it will give you the past weather conditions for wherever and whenever you're interested.

March doesn't look so bad, though! :sunny:

We have cruised twice in March and found the temps to be a little cool but swimmable. In March 2002 a cool front had just moved through and the daytime temps were about 80 and the water temp was right at 80. As long as the air temp was warm it was fine for DH and I. However, on early excursions or cloudy days in the upper 70's it was chilly. It only kept us out of the water once in Cozumel at a 9AM beach excursion...the air just wasn't warm enough. Also, some of the days on the sun decks were chilly as they were overcast and it is quite windy. We ended up wrapping our towels around us rather than under us to stay warm.

Thanks ya'll! I booked snorkling on Nassau for the afternoon, so with any luck it will be sunny and it will have some time to warm up for the afternoon. Since the closest I've ever come to a beach is the muddy waters of Galveston, I'll brave the chilly water of the beautiful waters of the disney island :) Getting my docs tomorrow!! yippeee!
