Water taxi or bus to parks from RPR?

How often do the buses run from RPR to UO/IOA?

After being in the parks all day, I would want to ride an air conditioned bus back to the hotel instead of the water taxis in that yucky stifling Florida July heat but I hope I don't have to wait FOREVER for the bus in that yucky stifling heat either! :furious:

I don't think there are any buses that run from the resorts to the parks. It's really not very far, really I think it's closer than the walk from the parking deck to the parks. We walked almost every day from RPR to the parks. We found that waiting for the water taxi took longer than walking.

You would have to get the bus on the parking lot behind the Hard Rock Hotel. That's a much longer walk than just going to City Walk for the water taxi. We ususally just walk to and from the parks from the RPR.

At RPR the bus stop is beyond Tchoup Chop and the convention hall. They take you to a cul-de-sac drop off between HRH and the Studios. If you are going to the Studios this would be the least amount of walking. I think they are on the half hour. This is the best transportation if it is raining.

We have taken the bus from the Portofino to the parks. It also runs every half hour and makes stops at all three resorts before hitting Universal (or vice versa). Part of my group walked from Universal to PBH and were showered and ready to go by the time we arrived back to the room. However, with the lightning, I didn't feel comfortable walking. So, as Motherfletcher said, it is the best transportation when it is storming.

Thanks everyone for the responses. It looks like I may have to use the bus because the rain chances look pretty heavy this weekend. I just hope the crowds aren't heavy and not any bad thunderboomers! Planning to go July 4th weekend. (I know I'm nuts!)
