Water ski behind a jet ski?

DH doesnt want to get a boat(nowhere to keep one) but the kids(2) and I want to water ski. I think I might can talk him into a couple of jet skis tho.
How many HP does one need to pull a skier. thanks.

Some states do not allow ANYTHING to be towed behind a jetski. With a spotter or not. Check your state laws.

In some states, it would need to be a 3 seater jetski. One seat for driver, one for spotter & one for person being towed to sit in later.

Our state does not allow even a tube to be towed.
A neighboring state does.

Know your laws.

We have two yamaha's they can pull you skiing. Our kids have all learned to ski behind the jet ski. Our daughter learned at 3 last summer! We have gotten an adult man up on a slalom ski behind the jet skis.
