Water shoes for Fort Wilderness splash area?

Hello! We are super excited about our trip to Fort Wilderness which is coming up! Last time we were there, my daughter loved the kids splash area. But I can't remember if water shoes are required in that area or if it is alright for kids to go barefoot. Does anyone know? Thanks!!

I have never heard of water shoes being required.

Barefoot is fine. If you don't wear water shoes at the pool, you won't need them in the splash/slide area.
