Water shoes at CC?

I was miserable without them- both at CC and Blue Lagoon beach- so painful to walk into the water! I have a huge bruise on the arch of my foot and I have no idea if it was from the dolphin push or stepping on something at the beach. Ouch! I will wear water shoes for sure next time. My family did not complain though. My thought- they need to start allowing guests to bring home shells- there are too many on the beach lol!

we definitely felt like there were more coral type rocks in the water (at least the first 20' or so from shore) than we previously had. Seems like some of the cabana area beach has slightly eroded and the shoreline is a bit steeper as well.

After my husband spent half of a trip to St John in pain from a sea urchin encounter a few years ago, we will always bring them now. We love to swim / snorkel and for us it's worth not chancing it. They don't take up much space! :)

We just got off the Dream yesterday and are so glad we took our water shoes! We were on the family beach and someone that wasn't wearing any shoes cut their foot on something in the water. It didn't need stitches or anything but it looked painful. I definitely recommend them!

We have never used them but after reading this thread I think we will from now on. I would hate for one of us to get cut or injured from something and then be in pain for the rest of the trip!

Hi,

For those of you who wore water shoes both on board and CC, what did you do with them when you and/or your kids went down the slides?

Thanks!
