Do they really fill up every day? We would like to go to one during our trip, June 17th to 22nd. We were thinking of going on Sat. We would like to sleep in a bit one day and go to the water park around 1:00 or 2:00 pm for the afternoon and then back to hotel for dinner and relaxing.
Is this even feasible? I hate to pay for a php and then when I want to go, the park be full. If is is full can we wait for people to leave or will they send us away?

last thing, on the kiddie sections, it says you have to be under 48 inches, does that mean my 12 yr old or I can't be in there with her? I don't mean to go down the slides, but to watch her.

Don't know if they completely fill-up everyday, but they will be what I would call FULL by noon or so. This means you may have a hard time finding chairs and they definitely won't be in the shade.

We were at Typhoon on June 2nd, we got there at 10:00 and it was pretty full by noon for sure. I would either get there at 10:00, or wait until about 4:00 and go if the weather is still holding. Afternoon thunderstorms are pretty common this time of year.

I did see some children in vests, especially in the wave pool and at the shark reef. Most the slides state that you need to be a strong swimmer, they empty into a pool of water about 3-4 feet deep and with a strong current. I did not notice any arm floaties, I don't know if they will allow them or not.

You are allowed in the kiddie sections, my son enjoyed the one at Typhoon and he is 7 1/2 and over height by a couple of inches. I didn't notice any kids much older than that though spoiling it for the younger ones.

Hope this helps.

I went to TL today and did not arrive until 12:15 had to park far back but it never closed. They were parking people in the grass but when I went back to my car around 2:30 the regular parking lot was back opened. I see children in the lazy river with the arm floaties and they do have lifevest available.

I went to TL last year in the afternoon in July and the crowds after 3:00 are more manageable. There were chairs available too. It did sprinkle a bit and it cleared out even more people. I would think you could sleep in and go in the afternoon without having too much trouble. It's even better if you are staying on-site because you can ride the bus to TL and still get in even if they've closed the parking lot.

They do allow people taller than 48 inches into the kiddie playing area to watch the little ones. I have stayed in the water, just didn't go down the slides with my DS when he was younger.

The lifevests are free with a credit card deposit that is not charged when you return the lifevest at the end of your day.

pirate: I went to TL last Tuesday, walk in around 2:00pm. We found three chairs right away and didn't get out or the water until they closed the park because of lightning around 5:00pm. If you're not picky about location going later in the day is great! No wait on any of the slides after 4:00pm!
