My wife and I have started planning our late July trip. It will be 9 nights with a 10 day parkhopper, but for $25 more per person we can upgrade to include, Disney Quest, mini golf, and the water parks. I've done Disney Quest and it's meh, I do like Fantasia Gardens, but we never have done either of the water parks. I am not a huge waterpark fan, but it is a good deal and we will be on property for a longer stay.

We are staying at BWV to avoid too much bus travel and the soccer teams that we are often surrounded by at POP. AlsoI believe this would be our 42nd trip so there isn't much we rush for. It will just be my wife and I, and at 40 years old summit plummet doesn't interest me, though swimming with sharks and rays sounds interesting. Anyone have advice on whether we should upgrade (it's not so much the money as the time)?

Give it a shot - you'll never know if it's for you unless you try it.

Our first trip to Disney we didn't do water parks. Then a few months later we did a water park only trip. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. It was so much fun for everyone in our group, ages 2-50. Now for our next trip we are try to figure out how to squeeze in Blizzard Beach. I never though I would be willing to give up a "park day" for a "water park day". You should give them a try. It might surprise you.

Do they still include Disney Quest on the ticket? It is supposed to close this year so they are phasing out tickets that mention it. I know you said for you it was meh, but just wanted to make sure you were clear with what you were getting. We love the waterparks. Even if I don't want to get wet, I can relax while the kids play and just read my book.

DQ was listed but god only knows if it will be open in late July.

The Water Parks are a great alternative to the hotel pool - really fun and totally worth the cost of the upgrade! :)
