Water parks?

We are going the first week of April and staying at POR - our 7 & 9 yo love the pool at POFQ so that's generally where we take them to swim. Should we purchase the water park and more option (we only did park hopper but were told we could upgrade if we decided to for $50 more a day per person)? Or should we wait and see if we will want to do a water park while there and then just pay for a one day ticket - which I believe is only $35 per adult and $29 per child 9 and under? Our 17 yo and 9 yo are the only two who have really expressed interest - although our 7 yo loves to swim but he's never been to a water park. Are there things for toddlers? Which park would be better for a family with so many ages?

I noticed that you are also planning to go to DQ. If so, I would upgrade your tickets with the waterparks and more option since that includes DQ and you are already going there. The waterparks are awesome to experience if there is time in your schedule.

We are taking our 14 year old son this year. We have been to Wet-n-Wild, but not the Disney water parks. If you could only pick one water park, which is the best, in your opinion?

I would recommend Blizzard Beach for a 14 year old son. There are more slides. It is an awesome place even for the parents :cool1: Make sure to do the family tube ride!

Once you've been to a waterpark you'll be hooked and want to go back. I know I did. I loved it.. My nr 1 is Typhoon Lagoon. Although Blizzard Beach might be more thrills, the overal experience in TL is so much better (personal opinion of course)...

It is worth paying the little extra.

Typhoon lagoon is probably the best for your family. Your older child would like the thrills of BB better, but TL has something for everyone. If you upgrade your ticket you can try both. If you only plan to go to one, do the single day admission. Typhoon lagoon is really pretty and has the wave pool. If you plan to do Disney Quest and a Water park, upgrade your ticket. It just depends on how many times you think you will use an extra.

We took our DDs (ages 3.5 and 7.5) to Blizzard Beach in August and had a blast. The tike's peak area was a lot of fun and we were able to go on most of the rides together. I can't remember the names but we all did the lazy river, family boat ride, big slide with mats, chair lift, small slide in front of the fast one that goes straight down and the wave pool. We are hoping the weather is warm enough next week for a repeat visit.
