Water Parks Tips?

hi
we were there jan and feb. blizzard beach was open. it was warm enough for relaxing, in fact very hot some days. the water was just plain freezing though. we went to typhoon lagoon the day it opened and the water was really warm!

So if we leave are Tshirts, suncream, and snacks in a rucksack somewhere.....they'll still be there when we get back? Obviously I'm going to put all the important stuff in a locker - but was wondering about the bits you need during the day?

Here are the water shoes I love. I get them for my DD's also. They are great for traveling, especially cruises. They look like sneakers but I wear them in the water. I can put them on my feet wet which I can't do with regular water shoes. If the link doesn't work just go to Landsend.com and look for their classic sea to shore shoes.

I've always left my stuff and only once was it touched. Someone just moved it to take my chair but since no one but me sits, it wasn't an issue.

I leave my t-shirts, towels, water bottle, and such at my chair in a tote bag. I leave wallets, dry clothes to wear after the day, shoes, and money in a locker. I don't know what the lockers are like in the rest of Disney (we haven't used one in years) but at the water parks you can use it all day for one price.

On the water temps, BB is kept cooler to go along with its theming, while TL was fairly warm all over when we were there last.

Thank you all so much for all the useful information and stories. I see that Water Shoes are a big item. Need to add that one since I never would have bothered to get them before reading the posts.

Thanks again~ :earsboy:

Rubber soled slippers you can wear in the water. We don't wear water shoes, but we swim alot and go barefoot alot, so our feet are not as tender as some folk's might be.

Ahha, thank you :)

Is it worth going to TL with a 4 year old and a 2 year old?

Definitely. There's a great kid's area called "Ketchakiddie Creek". My now teen DS & DD loved spending hours there when they were that age. There's also lots of sand to dig in (the kid's meal at the restaurants come with a plastic pail and shovel for digging) and the river to float in. Shark Reef will also keep them entertained if you go into the capsized ship to view the snorkelers and sharks. Get there are park opening and find a nice shady spot to make camp.
