water parks near disneyland

Are there any waterparks near disneyland? We are debating between disneyland and disneyworld. We love waterparks, and that may be a deciding factor. Thanks!

The closest waterpark is Knott's Soak City in Buena Park. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from DLR.
Other water parks in So Cal if you are willing to drive a ways are Raging Water's in San Dimas, Legoland Waterpark in Carlsbad, and Hurricane Harbor in Santa Clarita.
Of course there is always the beach!

When would you be visiting? The waterparks here in California are only open seasonally, typically Memorial Day to Labor Day with a few extra weekend-only dates scattered in occasionally.

Carmatts is correct. The ones above mentioned are all of the ones around here. They are open seasonally so i would say check out their websites.

legoland water park was just built and theres not much to do there yet unless ur kid is under 5... i went there and was bored but love legoland. It has huge possibility but it's going to take a coulple years. Knott's soak city is good and the closest but it won't open till early may.

Knotts Soak City is very close to Disneyland. Directly across the street from Knotts Berry Farm theme park.

If you are visiting Six Flags Magic Mountain they have a good water park next to the theme park as well. Universal Studios is not far from Six Flags as well.
