Water Parks & More Ticket Question

This is the 1st time we are planning on visiting one of the water parks at WDW. I am figuring out which tickets to buy & I see a price difference. We will be there for 5 full days. We plan on visiting each theme park for 4 of the days & a water park 1 day.

I am getting a 4 day base park ticket. I then looked at the cost of adding the water parks and more option($272). I then looked at the cost of just buying a 1 day water park ticket ($204 seasonal since it is in Oct). The 1 day water park ticket is about $69 cheaper than the water parks & more option.

If we plan on only going to 1 water park and don't care about the other stuff, wouldn't it be better to just get the 1 day ticket?
I just want to make sure I am not missing something I should be aware of.

In your case, yes. What the water park and more gives you on a 4 day myw ticket is 4 additional times at Waterpark and or quest. You can also go to a water park on the same day you use a theme park ticket.

No, you are not missing anything. In your case, it would be better to just buy the 1-day waterpark ticket. If you were planning to get a park hopper, then adding waterpark and more would be cheaper; or if you were planning at least 2 trips to the waterpark, it would also be cheaper.

You are correct. If you KNOW you won't park hop or want to go to Disney Quest or one more water park, buying the one day Water Park ticket will be cheaper.

So if we decide we do want park hoppers, then adding water & more is cheaper than one day? I will have to price that out too.
Sometimes we get park hoppers & sometimes we don't. I wasn't planning on it this trip, but if my DH convinces me otherwise, it's good to know the price diff.

If you have a park hopper, it only costs something like $26 to add the WPF&M option.
