Hello! We're planning a Disney Cruise in Nov and want to try Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach before the cruise. I'm not familiar with Orlando weather, so I don't know if it'll be warm enough to enjoy it. Also, which one would you recommend for kids ages 3-17? I heard that one has more scary/faster slides than the other. Thanks for any info.

We went to a water park in December and had a good time. Do not know if it is always warm enough though. Disney does refurbish water parks in the winter though so probably only one will be open.

We went to Typhoon Lagoon last December and enjoyed it very much. Blizzard Beach has a reputation for faster and scarier slides, but both are good.

Weather in Orlando in December varies - you may just have to play it by ear when you arrive. Also depends a lot on what temperature you are used to at home. We live in NE of England so December in Orlando feels hot to us!

We had a beautiful sunny day at TL and it was a blast.

The pools and water parks are heated but everything is relative.

We're from the NE so the weather in Dec felt just heavenly to us and it was wonderful to be at the pool at the Poly just ourselves and another family!

Have a great trip!

We were in Disney 11/16/02 - 11/23/02, and the weather was in mid-upper 70's to low 80's. Each day was nice, but we did have to switch one Blizzard Beach day to another day, because it happened to be too cool that day. I've been only to BB and our kids (9,6,4), enjoyed it VERY much ! Typoon Lagoon may have more smaller slides and such, but from those people who've been to both, they still recommend BB. Enjoy your trip!

I have been to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon with small children. My kids still liked Blizzard Beach better. We thought Typhoon Lagoon's best feature, swim with the fish, was hard for very small children. We though Typhoon Lagoon's theming was more like we could find here in Arizona. We thought Blizzard Beach was spectatular. The attention to detail could only be found at Disney.

What about water parks in January-February? Too cold?

We were at Disney during the end of February and beginning of March of this year. Apart from the first couple of days which were very cold the rest of the holiday was warm and sunny. The water parks were great as not many people there. It was certainly warm enough for a few hours but wouldnt have wanted to have spent the whole day there. ::MinnieMo
