Water Parks in evening?

What are the water parks like mid-week in the evenings in the summer? Say from 5-8?

I thought they were only open until 5?

Open until 7 in July, a couple of years ago they extended hours while we were there until 8

I don't have first hand knowledge, but many say the crowds die down the later in the evening it gets. AND if there happens to be one of those afternoon thunderstorms, they're even more empty afterward.

Usually quite a bit quieter than the morning/afternoon.
