Water Parks . . . if you could only do one

We have recently decided to hit at least one of the water parks during our stay, but I'm not sure if we will have time for both.

I am travelling with DH, DS 16 and DD 1 1/2.

Please help me figure out which park would be best for us given the ages of my kids.

we only ever used to do BB, but last year we did TL too.

but BB is my fave

I personally like BB much better, but it is a matter of preference.

I chose Typhoon Lagoon since our last trip was Blizzard Beach...

Better slides at BB. But better overall atmosphere at TL, plus the wave pool and Shark Reef. BB feels like you are in the sun all of the time. A lot more shade at TL.

TL Im more into the reaxed atmosphere and not really into the faster slides, plus the shark reef was soooo cool!

That is such a tough question for me.

We always go to both during each trip, because:

TL has the wave pool &
BB has Teamboat Springs

Love them both!!!

Typhoon lagoon is my favorite hands down.
I love the shark reef and the wave pool, and also the lazy river
Plus they now have crush n' gusher which I am looking forward to riding.

Definitely Typhoon Lagoon for us. LOVE the lazy river and wave pool!!

I know you have already decided on TL, but I could not resist adding my opinion. While I personally preferred the TL theming as a grown up, for the kids BB is the clear winner. My boys (ages 10 and 11) much prefer the slides at BB, and as a parent I found the kid play areas much better at BB. Both parks were fun, and we will do them both again. But if I only had to pick one for the kids (min are ages 11, 10, 6, and 1), I would pick BB.

Typhoon Lagoon - best theming, and a more relaxed atmosphere - but still has some great slides for big kids.

for toddlers i think that BB would be the better option, as the family raft side at TL is nothing compaired to the one at BB. i love the family raft at BB

the wavepool at TL i think might be a little scary for toddlers, i went in it last year at 14 and hated when the waves came i just went straight over, and people were going over and under me when the waves came it was horrible hate, spent the whole day in the lazy river, cause everything at TL is a smaller verison of whats at BB.

BB beats TL hands down!!!

We did BB every trip since it existed and never bothered with TL because people said BB was much better.

However I enjoyed TL much more last time We did BB twice and TL once, but this next trip we might only spend a half day at BB and as much of our free time as we can at TL! I just love it there, the wave machine and shark reef are absolutely fantastic
