We're headed to Disney World next Monday, May 9th and leave Sunday, the 15th. The kids really want to do both BB and TL this time, as we have never been to a water park. We plan to arrive at opening to get chairs and rent a locker. Crowd wise, is there a better day to attend the water parks? My instinct would expect the crowds to be heavier on weekends because the water parks may attract local families while school is still in session? I would also expect crowds to be lower on cloudier days. Do they keep the water attractions running in the rain as long as lightening is not an issue? I would love some planning advise from those who have been to the water parks. Thanks.

We haven't been yet but we have both water parks scheduled for our upcoming trip and I am doing both water parks on weekdays. Local folks will be there on the weekends.

I think the generally accepted truth is that the weekdays are less crowded that weekends due to the locals. I have also heard that early in the week (Mon-Tues) is better because many tourists go to a water park later in the week because they want to do the main parks first.

Question one answer: no, it depends on the time of the year, the weather and the number of guests who want to go to the water parks. But, generally weekdays are less crowded. I would try Thursday, May 12 for the first day.
The threat of lightning is what will shut down the water parks. Just follow the two day forward weather forecasts for a guide.

Weekdays are less crowded, early in the week seems to have less people as well. Have a great time!

Thanks to everyone that responded. We will watch the weather and stick with a week day.
