Water park ticket questions

I'd appreciate some help with water park tickets:

I have four non-expiry 10-day tickets from waaaaaay back -- like more than two decades ago -- that contain only one water park day each. Two of these tickets are children's tickets. Two are adult tickets.

1. The children in question can still use the tickets I bought for them years ago, right? They used to say, "Disney doesn't penalize kids for growing older." Well, my kids are 24 and 26 now. I'm taking that policy to the extreme.
2. We need to purchase a 5th ticket. Wow, they're significantly more expensive than I would've expected -- any hints on finding a lower price? This must be an adult ticket.
3. Our one-year old grandson doesn't need a water park ticket any more than he needs a theme-park ticket, right?
4. How's the water in September? Would you go to the trouble of spending a day at the water park?

If it was a little over 20 years ago that the tickets were last used then your kids would be expected to look like they are in their 20s or 30s. (Disney won't ask to see a birth certificate but might ask them when they were last at the parks.)

The 1yo does not need a water park ticket either.

Most days in September are over 80 F, suitable for the water parks.

The kids have been to Disney -- several times -- in the last two decades, but they haven't been to the water parks. They DO look like they're 20-somethings.

I'll take a stab at #2 and #4. Annual Passholders and DVC members currently have a promo going on for Typhoon Lagoon tickets at $49/adult (discount of $20) good until the end of the year. Don't know if either apply for your party.

Temperatures in September should be in 80-90's F, plus humidity and chances of unexpected showers. Also keep in mind that September is still during hurricane season in Florida. While most years it hasn't really affected anything, keep an eye on those noaa forecasts for tropical storm gusts/rain. But inclement weather aside, should be fine to spend all day at a water park in September.
