Water Park Questions

I have a few questions regarding the water parks.

Can you wear water shoes?

How do the lockers work? Coins? Magic band? Cost?

Can I carry a waterproof container for my keys if I skip a locker?

Are there shady spots to wait for the slides or are you in direct sunlight?

Are any of the swimming areas shaded?

you can wear water shoes on most things, flip flops not so much. I don't use lockers, depends on the time of day for shade and the only guaranteed occasional shade is the lazy river. We have 6 full water park days scheduled!

lockers work by key that has attached loop so you can wear it around your wrist or ankle. cost is $8 for small $10 for large. plus $5 deposit for each size that you get back when you return the key.

Agree with all of the above...be prepared for a lot of sun if it is a sunny day. I found that most areas don't really have a lot of shade with the exception of the Water Coasters at TL. Even the lazy river will only have brief parts that are shady but you are quickly moved through there with the current. The wave pools are completely out in the open. We usually rent lockers each time we go and it is pretty straight forward as you rent the lockers from central locations and they give you the key.

I always thought TL offered much more shade on the whole than BB did. BB just has so much concrete that the sun bounces off and very little vegetation it seems. TL has the whole tropical theme going on so there are lots and lots of trees to offer shade.

Plenty of shade at Typhoon Lagoon. Yes you can wear water shoes. It's been several years but, the locker rooms use to be extremely clean and well air conditioned. As previously posted, an elastic band attaches key to your wrist, or ankle.
