Water Park Questions

I live a couple of hours away from Disney and will be arrivng by car mid morning for a 5-6 night stay this summer. We will start at Typhoon Lagoon that morning and hang around until we can check in after 3pm that afternoon.
1. Should I park at the resort and use Disney transportation, or get my parking pass from the resort that morning and drive to TL.
2. It will be me (Dad) and my 6 year old daughter (Wife will be in school!), are there family changing areas?
3. I assume there are lockers, or some place to store the things we bring in with us that we don't want to get wet. Is this right?
4. Would you agree that Typhoon Lagoon is a little more low key than Blizzard Beach?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is there a FAQ somewhere on the waterparks that I overlooked?

If it were me, I would check in at the hotel. Even though 3:00 is the posted check-in time, you may get lucky and a room be available for you. It happend that way for us last time. This would eliminate the need to change at the park, which you can do. I'm not sure about family change areas, but of course there are male/female facilities.

If you do go to the resort, then by all means use the Disney transport system.

There are lockers available for you to rent.

TL is more low key, but every bit as fun as BB,

There are lockers for rent, $5 or $7 depending on eht size (plus a $5 refundable key deposit).

There are no family changing areas, only men's and woman's.

You do not need a parking pass at the water parks. There is no fee to park at them. (That is one reason why there are no buses directly to any of the parks.)
