We will be going to WDW in October, the 19th to the 26th to be exact. Will it be water park weather while we are down there?? I can't ever remember if we have done water parks in October and we go to WDW at least one a year, although each year is a differnt month. I'm trying to decide if I should include this option in our package or just play it by ear (no pun intended!) when we get there. What are your past experiences for October? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

edited to add - looks like I put this in the wrong forum, I'll post in the theme park area!!!

Hi Deborah, and welcome!

Normal highs for Orlando that week are in the low-to-mid 80s and morning lows are in the 60s. So it certainly sounds like swimming weather to this northerner, especially in the afternoon!

Have fun,

Bob

We went last October and it was hot (80s) everyday. We went to a waterpark one day and swam in the resort pool everyday.

I grew up in Winter Park, so I feel very comfortable saying the temperature will be warm enough for swimming. I have very clear memories of how the temperature at NIGHT always began to fall right at Halloween. Up until this point, the evenings remain pretty warm, too. Every year, I would have to figure out how to wear sweats under my Halloween costume or a jacket over top! Dh and I visited WDW over Halloween weekend this past year. It was very warm, and the water parks were PACKED! Come November, however, the weather is not as predictable -- could be very cool or quite warm.

It's been plenty warm enough the last three trips we've made in October. In fact, I got sunburned the last time, even though I had on SPF 40. The sun reflecting off the water can be brutal for us pale northerners! But warm enough? Oh yeah! :sunny:

We've been in early October and last week of October. Both were plenty warm enough for the water parks. The only thing to remember is often 1 park may be in rehab starting in the fall. So you may not have a choice as to which is open.
