Hey, we currently have a 5 day single park ticket for Easter week. Planning on MK twice. Kids are 6 and 3.
My 6 year old LOVES water slides (though not very big ones). We are staying at the Beach Club. Should we add one day at Typhoon Lagoon or a second day at Epcot.

Epcot would be much cheaper so trying to figure out if TL is worth the extra expense.

6 and 3 year old will not enjoy a second day at EPCOT. We love the Disney water parks, but they are a little young to really get the most out of either TL or BB too. Suggest you have a "no park" day, spend the day at Stormalong Bay and maybe go to one of the mini-golf courses that day instead. One is within walking distance over at Swan/Dolphin.

Keep in mind, Easter week is going to be C-R-O-W-D-E-D in the parks. You might really want a break from it yourself.

Thanks! Though I should probably note, we do not plan on spending whole days at the parks. We’re thinking to rope drop and then head back to the resort in the afternoons. We do plan on going back to MK one of the nights for the fireworks (but kids can’t do multiple late nights).

it’s less than $12 more per person to add that 6th day where we can walk over to Epcot to either check out Illuminations, or rides we didn’t get to, or food booths.

does this make more sense or do you still agree it’s a waste?

I wish we weren’t going Easter Week but I’m a teacher so the choice was crowds or heat ☹️

I meant Harmonious- that’s the night time show at Epcot right? Not Illuminations

I think it’s worth it. It gives you options to be spontaneous depending on how your crew is feeling.theme Park day over water park day is my advice. Storm along bay is like a water park lol.

Easter is late this year, so it won’t be as bad as when it falls earlier in the month. We’ve had good experiences going when it falls late!

I think you can make that decision as you get closer. Keep an eye on park reservations and if it looks like things are selling out, then pull the trigger. But if Epcot still has availability, on day 4 or 5 before you leave you can decide to add the extra day.

It might be late, but it's also school vacation week in the northeast. The standard school vacation week that most schools in new england take off.

On our last trip, my boys were 3 and 5. They LOVED Blizzard Beach. This was the first time we took them to a Disney water park. They do both enjoy water slides and my 3-year-old was an early swimmer (gotta keep up with his big brother!), so I expected it to be a hit. It sure was! We had a great time as a family. Both boys loved the downhill racers/toboggan mat slides. They loved the wave pool. They loved the tube slides they were tall enough to ride. They loved the family raft ride. They loved the lazy river. I would totally recommend doing a water park unless you think your 6-year-old would be intimidated by bigger slides than the hotel pool and your 3-year-old also isn't ready. In that case I would just stick to SAB. The water parks aren't worth the price of admission if you don't really take advantage of the attractions.

If your three year old would be able to do some of the fun at a water park, I would choose that over Epcot for kids that young.
BUT since you said you arent doing full days at parks, personally I would return to the MK again. Your two short days arent going to allow you to do everything, and repeat favorites. Particularly during Easter week!

We are going then too and staying at the Beach Club as well! We are doing the week after Easter.

I was looking at Typhoon Lagoon but it seemed like the height requirements for many of the rides were 48 inches which my daughter is just under, so I didn’t think it was worth the price. I’d just do another park day if I were you. I’d personally do magic kingdom over 2 days at Epcot, but if it’s not that big of a price difference and you just planned on going there at night, then go for it

Is it the week before Easter or the week after?

The weeks before and after are Spring Break weeks for the NE. It will be district dependent but either week will bring families down. Our district is the week before Easter, but my nephews' is the week after (same State).

OP where are you staying, does it have a really nice pool?
I'd pick another park day, not necessarily Epcot but we aren't a big water park family.

Do you have any resort days planned? If not, I'd do a resort day. If yes, I'd do a water park. That said, my 4yo's favorite park is EPCOT but he's tall and can do all the rides. He loves cars and space so it's almost impossible to not get to EPCOT on every trip

Yeah, I think we’re going with an extra park day. Not sure which. We’ll see you at the pools!
