I have never been to a waterpark. My DS (8yo) asked if we could go to BB during our June trip. I need help. What do I need to know? Should we go first thing in the AM or late in the afternoon? Can we wear watershoes? Can my DS wear his swim goggles? Are you allowed to wear t-shirts/swim shirts on the slides? What do you do with your tickets/money, do you get a locker or "hide" it with your towels? Are the lines for towels and lockers the same?

Also, my DS is an average swimmer and not very adventurous, do you think BB would be suitable or should I look at TL?

Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, we always go tot he water parks, BB has a better play area for the kids! great, my kids love it, i would reccomend going early in the morning, we have done both, rented lockers, and left out belongings on our chairs, guess it all depends on what you are leaving, i reccomend buying a"gift card" for the day, velcro it in your bathing suit and you could use that for all your purchases throughout the day, so if you lose it it can be replaced, not like cash or a CC on vacation. we have done the water shoes, the ground gets really really hot when you are walking form one attractoin to another. Goggles can be worn in the lazy river, my kids get the "speedo" kind, so when we go on slides they wear them as a necklace, have fun! you will have ablast!

BB's wavepool is tamer than the one at TL, and BB also has an area designed especially for older kids/pre-teens that your son would probably enjoy. You can wear watershoes on most of the slides; I went to TL last month & we were only asked to take off our watershoes on the body slides (the ones where you don't use a raft, you just go down sitting).
Have fun! :)

I used a "water locker" which had 1) water park passes 2) drivers license and 3) little bit of cash. I personally didn't get a locker, but the only thing I left on a chair was 1) a couple of older beach towels 2) two pair of glasses (mine and DDs), and 3) our water shoes (when we were going on the body slides).

I didn't know you couldn't wear the shoes on some of the slides before I went. Our first slide was summit plummet. So after we had gotten all the way to the top, the guy said "you have to take your shoes off". He let us hold them on our chest as we went down, but after that, I left the shoes with the towels.

Can you go to both water parks in one day?

I have a 6 day MYW hopper ticket with water park option.

I have more options then I will have time to use... Can I use 2 in one day?

(I ask, because I know you can't do this with main tickets to the 4 major parks)
